For the mechanical properties of stalk crops,this paper will study the biomechanical problems of millet stalks from the mechanical mechanism.Two species,Jingu 21 and Qinzhou Huang,were used as test subjects.Using physical and mechanical methods,for different tissue parts,millet modulus of elasticity at different internode heights,Stress,strain,tensile strength,elongation,etc.Biomechanical properties are measured,study the variation of mechanical properties along the internodes during the same growth period,study the relationship between macro mechanics and micro mechanics.The main conclusions obtained through the research are as follows:(1)Exploring the test method for the mechanical properties of millet stalk single fiber,for the fiber characteristics of millet,corresponding test procedures and test details were presented.(2)Millet stalk single fiber is a very rigid,has a more significant brittle fracture characteristics,the maximum tensile strength and maximum modulus of elasticity produced by the root are 2242.72 MPa and 24.92 GPa,the minimum tensile strength and modulus of elasticity are 422.10 MPa and 3.11 GPa in the next section of the ear,the mechanical properties of stem fiber in different parts showed great differences.(3)The main load-bearing parts of the two valleys of Jingu 21 and Luzhou Huang are phloem,and the tensile mechanical properties of the phloem are significantly larger than the xylem,The change trend of the tensile strength of Jingu 21 is basically reduced as the internodes of the millet increase.at the root of the seven quarters,the change is not obvious.,the maximum value is 111.40 MPa and the minimum value is 83.10 MPa.the change trend of tensile strength of Luzhou yellow is firstly increased and then decreased with the increase of internode.the maximum value is 104.60 MPa and the minimum value is 75.67 MPa.The reason for the two phenomena may be due to the difference between the two varieties of millet,however,the elastic modulus of the two has the same trend,and increases first and then decreases along the internode.
