In order to study the Dalbergia odorifera mechanism of cold to hold and to build up a cold to hold evaluation system,on the basis of the preliminary investigation and study chose eight different sources of Dalbergia odorifera for five different temperature(4? and 0? and-3?,-6? and-9?,as controlled by 20 ?)of low temperature treatment,8 physiological and biochemical indexes were measured,the following results are obtained:Relative leaf conductivities of Dalbergia odorifera are decreased gradually as the temperature increases,especially in the temperature drops to-3 ?,the biggest drop in,conductivity curve is roughly "S" type of unimodal curve.By fitting the Logistic equation and the lethal temperature,only Hainan Danzhou lethal temperature above 0?,other are under 0?,Fujian fuzhou province lethal temperature min-7.842 ?.Three osmotic regulatory substances,soluble sugar,soluble protein and free proline,all increased with the decrease of temperature.The increase range of strong cold resistance was larger,while that of weak cold resistance was smaller.Most geographical provenance of Dalbergia odorifera osmoregulation content reached the highest value when-3 ?,the temperature is lower than-6 ? is on the decline.At-3 ?,Fujian Fuzhou Dalbergia odorifera soluble sugar and free proline content in the highest,the highest content of soluble protein of Fujian Xianyou.The relativity between soluble sugar and free proline was higher at 0.622,while the relativity between soluble protein and free proline was lower.Company's geographical provenance of Dalbergia odorifera leaf MDA content are decreased first increases and then reduces with the temperature,the content is highest when-3 ?,-6 ? after gradually reduce.At-3 ?,the highest content of Guangxi Pingxiang 34.73?mol/g FW,Fujian fuzhou content lowest 21.08?mol/g FW.MDA content and semi-lethal temperature was positively relativity.The activity of three protective enzymes including SOD,POD and CAT increased first and then decreased with the decrease of temperature.Most of Dalbergia odorifera protective enzyme activity at-3 ?,-6 ? after gradually reduce.At-3 ?,the three kinds of protective enzyme activity of FuzhouFujian is the highest;The SOD activity in Guangdong Zhaoqing was the lowest,POD activity and CAT activity in Guangxi pingxiang was the lowest.Many indicators between relative coefficien is greater than 0.5,the original variables,such as soluble protein content and lethal temperature,POD and CAT,POD and MDA and proline and MDA showed a large correlation between etc.According to the principal component analysis,the cold resistance rank of Dalbergia odorifera from various origins is:Fujian Fuzhou>Guangxi Guilin>Fujian xianyu>Hainan Jianfengling>Guangxi Pingxiang>Guangdong Puning>Guangdong Zhaoqing>Hainan,Danzhou.According to subject function method,the rank of cold resistance of sandalwood from various origins is:Fujian Fuzhou>Fujian xianyu>Guangxi Guilin>Guangxi Pingxiang>Hainan Jianfengling>Guangdong Puning>Guangdong Zhaoqing>Hainan,Danzhou.The two evaluation methods both concluded that the provenance was Fujian Fuzhou,Fujian xianyu,Guangxi Guilin and the cold resistance was the weakest in Guangdong Zhaoqing and Hainan,Danzhou.
