Soil erosion is a serious ecological and environmental problem threatening the sustainable use of land and water resources. It is also the fundamental cause of land degradation. It also causes huge economic losses and seriously restricts the sustainable development of human society.Soil erosion is becoming more and more serious in southern China due to topography, precipitation and human factors. However, the current research on soil erosion in China is relatively regional. Therefore,it is particularly important to study the specific soil erosion situation in other areas of southern China. In this study,Huangmaotan,a small basin in the south of China, was taken as the research object.Based on the soil profile of the basin and the lake debris deposits, the erosion modulus was calculated by 137Cs and SCP respectively, and the soil erosion intensity under different geomorphological conditions was compared and analyzed firstly.Secondly, based on the analysis of soil erosion modulus and combined with the actual land use situation in the Huangmaotan basin, the sediment transport ratio and sediment contribution rate are analyzed, and the differences of soil erosion and erosion sources of different land use types are discussed.Considering the geomorphological conditions and land use conditions,it provides a basis for the comprehensive management of soil erosion and watershed in the Huangmaotan basin.Research suggests:?1?The accumulative peak of 137Cs in the middle and upper reaches of Huangmaotan basin has an obvious time characteristics, and the temporal characteristics of vertical distribution of SCP counts are not obvious. The specific activity of 137Cs and SCP counts showed downstream<midstream<upstream.?2?The erosion modulus calculated by 137Cs and SCP shows that most areas of Huangmaotan basin belong to mild erosion, while few areas belong to moderate erosion.?3?Soil erosion intensity and topographic conditions are closely related to land use in the basin.Considering the location of different basins, the intensity of soil erosion in the upstream area<the middle area<the downstream area<the middle area<the downstream area. The erosion intensity of different geomorphological parts of sampling points shows the rule of"bottom area<top area<middle area of slope".According to different land use types, the order of soil erosion intensity is rice paddy field<woodland<dry farmland<abandoned farmland.?4?The contribution rate of sediment transport of different land use types in the basin ranged from small to large as follows:wasteland<woodland<rice paddy field<dry farmland.
