Mulberry is the important material basis for sericulture,the health of mulberry is directly related to the development of sericulture.With the development of the industry,mulberry diseases occurred one after another,and even some diseases resulted in serious impact on sericulture.Sericulture production in Guangdong started earlier,but there were few systematic reports on mulberry diseases.Therefore,it is important to know the pathogen types for prevention and control of mulberry diseases in Guangdong province.In this study,according to the Koch's postulate,the pathogens of mulberry diseases were identified through isolation,purification,pathogenicity determination,morphological and molecular characteristics.The results are as follows: the pathogenic fungus of mulberry anthracnoses were both Colletotrichum fructicola and C.truncatum.The pathogens of Phoma disease leaf spot,Fusarium leaf spot,Paramyrothecium leaf spot,leaf scorch rot diseases and white fruit disease were Phoma bellidis,Fusarium solani,Paramyrothecium foliicola,Lasiodiplodia sp.Scleromitrula shiraiana respectively.Mulberry anthraconose,Phoma leaf spot disease,Fusarium leaf spot,Paramyrothecium leaf spot,leaf scorch rot diseases,the white fruit disease were reported for the first time in Guangdong.Among them,Fusarium leaf spot was domestically reported for the first time infecting mulberry leaf.Except mulberry white fruit disease and Fusarium leaf spot,Colletotrichum fructicola anthracnose,Colletotrichum truncatum anthracnose,phoma leaf spot,Fusarium leaf spot,Paramyrothecium leaf spot and leaf scorch rot diseases were reported to occur on mulberry for the first time.
