As a new three-dimensional data acquisition technology,the three-dimensional scanning technology is a new breakthrough for the traditional three-dimensional reconstruction technology,and is widely used in the fields of medical engineering,digital city,cultural relics protection and reverse engineering.Three-dimensional modeling includes data acquisition,data processed,data registration,synthesis,texture and so on.Based on the advantages of three-dimensional scanning technology in data acquisition,in this study,the Artec Eva structured light three-dimensional scanner is used to obtain the initial point cloud data of ancient farm tools(pottery).Because of the shortcomings of the software of three-dimensional scanner in point cloud data registration,especially when dealing with a large numbers of point cloud data,in order to ensure the precision and accuracy of the three-dimensional model,by using bounding box technology and accurate registration algorithm ICP(Iterative Closest Point),with MATLAB software platform,the registration of initial point cloud data is completed,the model is rendered simply,and finally the reconstruction of three-dimensional model is completed too.The main research works are as follows:1.The basic knowledge and technology of three-dimensional modeling technology were discussed.The three-dimensional scanning technology,the Artec Eva structured light three-dimensional scanner and the supporting three-dimensional modeling software in the process of building three-dimensional model were also discussed respectively.2.Acquisition of initial point cloud data.The three-dimensional scanning environment of pottery is constructed,and the initial data of three-dimensional pointcloud obtained by Artec Eva structured light three-dimensional scanner is exported in ply format,and the file is saved.According to the observation from the research,the registration algorithm of three-dimensional scanner software is not good,part of the point cloud data is lost,the shape of pottery is incomplete,and the three-dimensional reconstruction model is inaccurate.3.The registration algorithm is studied,and the principle and implementation of bounding box technology and closest point iterative algorithm(ICP)are emphatically analyzed.Aiming at the problem of point cloud data registration,the initial point cloud data is accurately registered in MATLAB software platform by using bounding box technology and ICP algorithm.Through data analysis,the speed and accuracy of point cloud matching can be improved effectively after optimizing registration in MATLAB.4.The three-dimensional model of pottery is constructed.The pottery is photographed by camera to obtain texture information.Then,the texture is pasted into the three-dimensional point cloud data model to complete the construction of the three-dimensional model finally.In this study,based on the more mature data analysis program in MATLAB software,the bounding box algorithm and ICP algorithm are programming realized,and the texture information is attached to the surface of point cloud data.Finally,the three-dimensional real pottery model can be obtained.
