Pests Automatic Counting And Publishing System Based On Pest-Killing Lamp's Voltage Disturbance Signals

Pest monitoring and forecasting have a very important significance for the high yield of crops.If the monitoring and forecasting are accurate and timely,pests can be controlled early,the amount of pesticides used can be reduced,and the heavy losses of crops can be avoided.Therefore,it is important to study a pest counting and release system of real-time and efficient.This paper designed a method to extract the number of pests by monitoring the changes of voltage signals caused by insects touching insecticidal net,and the automatic counting and remote release system based on pest touch disturbance were developed.The system could enable real-time monitoring of the number of pests by remote PC computers and mobile devices,and the early warning of pests could be carried out.The main research contents of this paper include:(1)The hardware selection of the automatic counting module and the software design based on LabVIEW and Valdder.Automatic counting module consisted of insecticidal lamp,isolation transformer,data acquisition card,PC,PLC and other components.Insecticidal lamp was used to trap pests.AC high voltage of the Insecticidal net was converted to AC low voltage which could be collected by data acquisition card through isolation transformer.The voltage drop ratio of the isolation transformer was 2500V--6V.The data acquisition card was used to collect the voltage signal by the step-down transformer,and was connected to the host computer through the USB interface.The LabVIEW software was installed on the host computer in order to analyze,process and store voltage signal collected by acquisition card.The LabVIEW software extracted and separated the collected voltage signal by using HHT transform(Hilbert-Huang transform).Firstly,EMD algorithm was used to process the mixed signal containing the pests signal and original signal,so that a number of the modal functions(IMF)of mixed signal were obtained.Then,Hilbert transformations for all levels of IMF were processed to get the IMF's instantaneous amplitude.The apparent difference between the decomposed and transformed IMF1's instantaneous amplitudes of the pests signal and original signal was used as the standard for counting.When the instantaneous amplitude obtained after decomposition was less than the set value,the host computer sent the Modbus protocol command to communicate with the PLC via USB to 485 serial line.The PLC was used to receive the instruction sent by the host computer and accumulate the corresponding register value in order to complete the automatic counting of the pests.In addition,the PLC was also used to access some sensors and control equipments.(2)Software design of remote release module based on myPROJECT Designer configuration software.PLC was ported into the LAN through the Ethernet,the configuration software could read and control the PLC connected to the LAN.The system read the value of the sensor connected to the PLC,read the PLC internal register value,controlled the control device connected to the PLC,added the camera control and so on through the configuration software.The html interface was designed by the configuration software,such as the display of parameters,alarm settings,control buttons,camera video and login verification.The data records and data curve were designed,and the value of each display parameter was stored on the html interface through the configuration software.Moreover,it could export Excel data table and displayed data curve.The designed project was loaded to the phone App end,mobile App end real-time monitoring and early warning were achieved by configuration Software.It set the routing port forwarding.The LAN IP address of the device were forwarded to the public network IP,so that other remote PC computer could access to the designed html interface in the LAN host computer by accessing the public network IP.(3)Experimental Verification.The experimental verification was divided into three parts.Experiment one,analyzed the collected disturbance signal,then verified that the IMF1's instantaneous amplitude can be used as the criterion of the pest counting after the HHT transformation;Experiment two,System Counting Accuracy Verification Test.When a pest was touched by the voltage,the voltage disturbance signal was transformed by HHT.The IMF1's instantaneous amplitude decreased and rose,that was not a continuous reduction process,which can cause the system to count more.So the system set the time interval after detected a pest,filtered out the points that cause repeated counting,but it would also cause the other pests can't be counted within that time interval.In order to get the best time interval,the accuracy of the design of the system was verified by a time interval as a variable,the difference between the system counting value and the manual counting value as the judgment criterion.The results showed that,when the time interval was 0.5 seconds,the system counting value and the manual counting value were the closest and the accuracy rate is 90%.Experiment three,In this paper,we gave the instantaneous amplitude maps corresponding to different pests and tried to identify the pests with the IMF1's instantaneous amplitude after the HHT transformation of the pests disturbance signal but regrettably it was found that there was no correlation between the IMF1's instantaneous amplitude and the body size of pests.
