Development of Smart Farming has been the main approach to eliminate poverty in rural areas,realize the advantage of economic development,catch up from behind and realize agricultural modernization of China.Traditional agriculture increase agricultural output by a large number of pesticides and fertilizers and most of the fertilizer and water resources are not effectively used.Disadvantages of traditional agriculture have contributed to a large amount of nutrient loss and environmental pollution.We can build smart farming platform based on cloud-GIS to help crop monitoring,disaster diagnosis and provide service for agricultural production The purpose of this paper is to Combining WebGIS and cloud-GIS to build smart farming platform and discusse urrent critical technical difficulties include integrating multi platform monitoring data and calling service orderly.This study is carried out from three aspects:Monitoring platform include wireless sensor network,UAV and satellite remote sensing.The data integration of multi-source heterogeneous data are the main technical difficulties and problems.Cloud-GIS technology is used to publish the data as service order by geographic location and data integration can be done by call service in browser.How smart farming platform based on cloud-GIS Complete function packaging and self-service is another main technical problem.Cloud service include data service and Analysis service.Map cloud service is implemented as REST style and user can call service by Internet to pick up spatial information,crop growth information,environmental information and soil information.Every service will be called by geographic location of user so that service calling progress can be orderly.Design and implementation of smart farming platform meet the requirement of integration of multi-source heterogeneous data and self-service.The platform can be use on Screens of different sizes including computer,intelligent mobile phone and display large screen.The system manage 15 demonstration areas of the National Agricultural Information Engineering Technology Center and is in good condition.It is helpful for the management of agricultural production and is an important exploration of cloud GIS technology in agricultural application.
