Taxonomy And Phylogeny Of Heterochaete And Related Genera In Auriculariales

Heterochaete is a group of corticioid fungi and has a wide distribution throughout the world.All species of this genus are saprobic,which causing white rot of wood,and mainly distributed in south of China.In this study,a combination of traditional moqphology and molecular phylogentic analysed was used to the genus Heterochaete and related genera in Auriculariales,involving more than 250 speciemens.The materials were mostly collected by myself in different parts of China,and deposited in the herbaria of BJFC and the other speciemens were from MHHNU and HMAS.The Maximum Parsimony analysis,Maximum Likelihood analysis and Bayesian analysis inferred from ITS+nLSU datasets were used for restructing phylogenetic trees by using PAUP?RaxML and MrBayes.Through this research,Two new genera,Exidiella and Heterocorticium,are described or proposed based on morphology and phylogenetic analysis.The genus Exidiella differs from Exidia by its resupinate basidiocarps and ellipsoid basidiospores,and formed a lineage distant from Exidia glandulosa(generic type)in the phylogenetic tree.The genus Heterocorticium is similar to Exidiopsis in microscope,but differs by having pigmented coriaceous basidiocarps and forming a distinct lineage in the phylogenetic tree.Eichleriella 1 sp.nov.,Eichleriella 2 sp.nov.,Exidiella 1 sp.nov.,Exidiella 2 sp.nov.,Heterocorticium 1 sp.nov.,Heterocorticium 2 sp.nov.,Heteroradulum 1 sp.nov.,Heteroradulum 2 sp.nov.are described and illustrated as new.Eichleriella delicata,E.roseola,E.sinensis and Heteroradulum mussooriensis were combined from Heterochaete.Heteroradulum semis is treated as a heterotypic synonym of H.mussooriensis.Authentic specimens of Eichleriella chinensis were examined and determined to be the genus of stereum.In this study,17 species of Hererochaete and related genera were described and their microstructures were photographed,and distribution and hosts are also provided in this paper.The difference of similar genera and species were discussed,and keys to species are also provided.
