Common carp(Cyprinus Carpio)is considered as one of the most valuable commodities in freshwater aquaculture.During the trial, the growth performance, the plasma parameters, the hepatopancreas metabolism, the histology of hepatopancreas and distal intestine, and the relative mRNA levels were detected and analyzed to evaluate the efficacy and tolerance of bile acids in the diet of common carp. The experimental results can be summarized as follows:Efficacy evaluation of dietary bile acid in common carp. This experimental trial aims to evaluate the efficacy of dietary Bile Acid(BA)in the diet of common carp. The effects of Bile acid on the growth performance, the morphometric and the plasma parameters and the hepatopancreas metabolism were studied.Six experimental diets were prepared with Bile Acid supplement levels at 0(B0),20(B20),40(B40),60(B60),80(B80)and 100(B100)mg/Kg respectively. Results show that all groups of trial had a survival higher than 97.22%.Dietary BA improves the growth performance of the common carp.Based on regression analysis of the specific growth rate(SGR)and the feed conversion ratio(FCR),the optimum amount of bile acids in the feed was 26.5 mg/kg,and 29.8 mg/kg,respectively and the highest recommended level of BA was 60 mg/kg.BA inclusion effects on morphometric parameters show that HSI is reduced with BA inclusion.Indicating that bile acid supplement improves the hepatopancreashealth of the common carp. The HDL-C,GLU and TBA decreased significantly with inclusion of BA.Besides, dietary BA improves the hepatopancreas health of common carp by decreasing the HSI and the liver glycogen.Tolerance evaluation of bile acid in the diet of common carp. The trial was conducted to evaluate the tolerance of BA in common carp based on the growth performance, the plasma parameters, the hepatopancreas metabolism, the histology of hepatopancreas and distal intestine, and the relative mRNA levels.Four experimental diets were prepared with BA supplement levels of 0(B0),60(B60),300(B300)and 600(B600)mg/kg,which B60 was the maximum recommended level, and the B300 and B600 levels were 5 and 10-fold of B60,respectively.The results demonstrated that dietary BA did not affect the growth performance. However, the glucose plasma decreased significantly with BA inclusion.Dietary BA down regulated the intestine mRNA levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines(IL1?,TNF?)and anti-inflammatory cytokines(TGF?1 and IL10).Besides,dietary BA improves gut health, improves glucose plasma significantly and reduces inflammatory response in the intestine of common carp.In conclusion,we recommended a maximum dose of bile acids of 60mg/kg in the diet of common carp and the tolerated dose is 10 fold of the recommended dose such as 600mg/Kg.
