Crown survey data is the basic data commonly used for forestry researchers of studying stand competition.With the performance improvement of smart mobile terminals,provide an electronic measuring and recording tool to reduce the errors caused by secondary data entry and timely detect and correct recording errors on the spot,thereby reducing the time it takes by data cleaning before data analysis,which constitutes actual demand of researchers and data collectors for application software.Aiming at the demand,combined with the method of data analysis and the calculation and display function of smart terminal,put parts of analysis and calculation of crown data into the design of survey software,realized the function of drawing and calculation on the spot,making the investigators can timely control whether the survey data recorded match the survey object,to discover and correct errors,reduce data collection costs and improve data quality.On the base of demand analysis,the author select android system that has obvious advantages in market share presently as the mobile terminal operating system.,taking Eclipse as the development platform,using Java language and SQLite database to develop a crown survey software.The software can provide on-site input,storage and timely calculate the area,center of gravity and uneven index of crown,and draw the graph based on the calculation result,can dynamically show the general shape of the crown to users in the wild,which is convenient for investigators to grasp the investigation and reduce the workload of the inside and outside work of crown survey.Through experiments with real measurement data,proves that the accuracy of the software meets the actual demand,image display is accurate,can assist investigators discover the data measurement and data entry errors on the spot and correct timely,which is a effective solution to tedious data recording and high error rate in field survey.
