Taxus cuspidata is a rare and endangered plant in China, and a rare species of protected species. It is also a valuable plant resource for the extraction of paclitaxel,an anti-cancer drug. Therefore, the protection and utilization of Taxus cuspidata is of great concern. At present, the researches on Taxus cuspidata mainly focus on the analysis of chemical composition, extraction of medicinal substances, artificial propagation, etc. The research on basic ecology is weak. Therefore,in this paper, the population of natural Taxus cuspidata in Toudaogou,Duhuangzi Forest Farm,Wangqing Nature Reserve,Jilin Province is studied.Field population surveys, plant observations, and monitoring of the growth and development process of male and female cone were conducted to explore the population dynamics and sexual reproduction characteristics of Taxus cuspidata. The analysis of the population status of Taxus cuspidata is mainly carried out using population statistics, static life tables, and survival function analysis methods. The characteristics of sexual reproduction and its influencing factors of Taxus cuspidata were analyzed by morphological description,statistics,one-way ANOVA,one-dimensional linear regression and multiple regression model fitting.Research indicates:1.There is a large amount of natural Taxus cuspidata in Toudaogou,Duhuangzi Forest Farm. The number of populations of seedlings is low,the mortality rate is high, and there are many adult plants and relatively stable mortality. The natural population tends to have a declining population structure and is closer to the Deevey ? survival curve.2.The phenophase of flowering in the male plants of Taxus cuspidata is short, generally from the early April germination to the end of May,the total withering takes about 2 months. The rapid growth period of the flowers is in the middle and late April, and the loose powder period is from late April to early May.It took about 15 to 20 days.Female cone have a long growing period. From April germination to early October, the seeds completely fall for about 6 months. The pollination period lasts from late April to early May.The ovules grow fastest in June to July.Male and female cone do not miss.3.The number of male and female cone in the middle canopy layer of Taxus cuspidata was significantly higher than that of the lower canopy(P<0.01).The number of female cone in the east and south directions of the female plant in the horizontal direction was significantly higher than that in the west and north directions(P<0.01).Male plants showed no significant differences in the four directions(P>0.05).4.In the natural environment, light intensity, temperature, humidity and other microclimate factors have an impact on the number distribution of female cone in Taxus cuspidata.Light and temperature had a significant effect on the number of female cone(P<0.05).Each microclimatic factor had no significant effect on the number of male cone(P>0.05).In summary,Natural population of Taxus cuspidata in Toudaogou,Duhuangzi forest farm is a descending population structure. The population structure is irrational.Need to restore the population.Male and female cone do not miss. From late April to early May,it is the critical period for pollination and fertilization of Taxus cuspidata.Microclimatic factors affect the number distribution of female cone of Taxus cuspidata in Northeast China and affect the reproductive process of Taxus cuspidata.
