Dog urine could cause the death of the lawn, and the lawn patches that affects the quality of the lawn.Lactic acid is one of the main components of dog urine, and it is also an important reason for the death of the lawn.In this experiment, the red fescue(Festuca rubra L.)?zoysiagrass(Zoysia japonica)?common bermuda grass(Cynodon dactylon)?creeping bentgrass Schreb.)and kentucky bluegrass(Poa pratensis L.)were selected as the experimental object in total 7 species and 88 varieties. They were treated with four rates of la(Agrostis stolonifera)?ryegrass(Lolium perenne L.)?tall fescue(Festuca arundinacea ctic acid(3.5×1O-2 g·L-1?3.5×10-4g·L-1?3.5×10-6g·L-1?0 g·L-1(CK)).The experiment was conducted in completely random block design and was carried out at two different temperatures. One is high temperature and the temperature ranged from 23? to 31?.The other is low temperature and the temperature ranged from 11? Cto 20?.Each concentration was sprayed 20 ml and the CK was replaced by 20 ml water.Based on the observation of 3 indexes of turf quality, turf damage degree, and the electrical conductivity(EL)of turf grass, the aim of this study was to screen out the species or varieties which had stronger resistance to lactic acid at different temperature. The results showed that:1.Except 3.5×10-2 g·L-1 of lactic acid caused significant damage on the lawn, other concentrations of lactic acid did not cause any impact on the lawn.2.When the temperature was 23?-31?:Rubra and Boreal were more resistant to lactic acid in the red fescue;Compain and Zenith were more resistant to lactic acid in the zoysiagrass; These two varieties had same resistance in the bermudagrass; The Terminator was more resistant to lactic acid in the creeping bentgrass; The Pinnacle was more resistant to lactic acid in the ryegrass; The Haibinwuzi,Easy Care and Total Watchdog were more resistant to lactic acid in the tall fescue; The Cart was more resistant to lactic acid in the kentucky bluegrass; When the temperature was 11 ?-20?:In the zoysiagrass,Compain,Zenith and Qindao had same resistance; In the Bermudagrass,Riviera and Common bermudagrass had same resistance; In the creeping bentgrass, the Tiger had strong resistance; In the ryegrass, the Green peacock had strong resistance; In the tall fescue, the Athena had strong resistance; In the kentucky bluegrass, the Utmost and Impact had strong resistance.3.At both experiment temperatures:In two kinds of warm-season grasses, bermudagrass had same resistance with zoysiagrass; In five kinds of cool-season grasses:tall fescue showed best resistance to lactic acid;Red fescue and ryegrass had moderate resistance to lactic acid;Creeping bentgrass and kentucky bluegrass had the worst resistance.4.When the temperature was 23?-31?,Lactic acid had more serious damage to these five cool-season grasses. When the temperature was 11?-20?,Lactic acid had more serious damage to the zoysiagrass and common bermudagrass.
