In the Hetao Irrigation District,high-quality wheat varieties have been overly single for a long time.YL4 has been in a dominant position for 30 years.Long-term planting has caused problems such as the strain degeneration and the quality fluctuation.Meanwhile,the lack of fine-quality and complete sets of cultivation techniques has limited the fine quality and high yield of wheat on the co-enhancing regulating effect.And it caused serious waste of water and fertilizer resources as well.In response to the above problems,we carried out the experimental study on selection of wheat high quality and yield,and the effects of fertilization on the quality and yield of wheat under different irrigation modes.We systematically analyzed the differences in grain quality of different wheat varieties and the different fertilization rates of the two irrigation models..This research proposes a suitable range of suitable fertilizer for high-quality and high-yield wheat in Hetao Irrigation District.The main results of the research are as follows:(1)Under the water-saving irrigation mode,the grain yield of most tested wheat varieties was lower than that of the conventional irrigation model.However,the grain quality index was higher than the conventional irrigation model.The varieties with good quality and yield under water-saving irrigation mode are BM12,NM4,NM2,LM26,LM30 and YL4,which have better performance under conventional irrigation mode.LM26,LM35 and KJ10.Among them,LM30,LM35,and KJ10 have a long growth period,which has an adverse impact on the development of Hetao Irrigation District.Therefore,these are not suitable for large-scale promotion in the local area.(2)The grain yield of wheat increased at first,then it decreased with the increase of nitrogen application rate and phosphorus application rate.Firstly,the grain quality increased linearly with the increase of nitrogen application rate and increased,and then it decreased with the increase of phosphorus application rate.Compared with the conventional irrigation mode,the wheat yield in the water-saving irrigation mode was not significantly reduced,but the grain quality was significantly improved.The water-saving irrigation mode can achieve the relative unity of quality and high yield of wheat with lower water and fertilizer input.(3)Basing on the comprehensive analysis,the key cultivation techniques for the synergistic improvement of wheat quality and yield in Hetao Irrigation District are as follows:wheat varieties use BM12,NM4,NM2,YL4,LM26,etc.Dilute ammonium phosphate(46%P2O5,18%N)145.0?157.5 kg·hm-2 was applied to the base fertilizer,and urea(46%N)338.3?358.6 kg·hm-2 was applied with irrigation at jointing stage.Irrigate in jointing and flowering stage and irrigation amount is 900 m3·hm-2 each time.
