Aphis gossypii feeds on twig and leaves of Lyciurn chinense,which seriously affects the growth and fruit yield of Lyciurn chinense.Arma chinensis are one of the predatory natural enemies with great potential for damage control.It are ideal natural enemies for biological pest control in lycium barbarum forests.However,there are still some problems to be solved urgently regarding the high cost of large-scale artificial A.chinensis rearing and the evaluation of its ability to control.In this paper,the main raw materials of A.pernyi with better feeding effect were selected and miniaturized to make capsule.The predation function of A.chinensis treated with A.pernyi and its capsule preparation for its were compared and evaluated.The effects of A.pernyi pupae capsule diet and different sexual ratio artificial rearing A.chinensis,Theresults are as follows:1.A.pernyi pupa and its capsules feed predation quantity change trend are after rising with the increase of density gradually stabilized,the predation functional response of A.chinensis nymphs and adults predating on aphids fitted the model of Holling ? type well.The A.chinensis at different instar by feeding on different diet decreases with the increase of A.gossypii density of Lyciurn chinense.The results showed out that the A.chinensis feed on two kinds of diet have no significant effect on the function predation and search effect of A.gossypii.2.Feed on different diet conditions,The mutual interference of A.chinensis had prominent effects on predation ratio to aphids and fitted the model of Hassell-varley well.The predation ratio at each instars decreases with the increase of density and there is intensity of scrambling competition,the intensity of scrambling competition is positively correlated with the density of A.chinensis.3.A method of making capsules using A.pernyi pupae was studied.Tests about the difference of developmental duration and fecundity of A.chinensis fed on A.pernyi pupae and their capsule were done.The effect of sex ratio of 1F:1M,2F:3M and 3F:2M on the fecundity of A.chinensis was compared.The results showed out that A.pernyi pupae and their capsule had no significantly effects on the survival ration,nymph period,adult life,fecundity and egg hatch ration of A.chinensis.The cost of artificial rearing diets for A.chinensis using A.pernyi pupae capsule was 0.01 yuan per offspring nymph,which was 50 percent lower than the cost of rearing using pupae.In a conclution,the cost could be reduced by using Apernyi pupae capsule,and the optimum sexal ratio was 3F:2M for artificial rearing of A.chinensis.
