Aluminum toxicity and silicon deficiency in acidic soils seriously affect agricultural production.Silicon application can relieve aluminum toxicity in plants.Is it possible to use modern nanotechnology to additionally deposit nano-silicon on the cell surface to further improve the plant's aluminum resistance?How effective is it?These questions need further study.We use RBCs in plants of pea?P.sativum L.‘Zhongwan no.6'?,with the help of two techniques,biological surface modification of polymer layers of self-assembly?LBL?and co-culture with nanometer silicon,assembling the SiO2nanoparticles?SiNPS?to cell walls of RBCs,and we discuss the effect of relieving aluminum toxicity in two methods,and discuss the degree of nano-silicon co-culture technology alleviating the aluminum toxicity of root border cells.The results are as follows:1.RBCs attach to the root and are easily fall off from the root tip in the aqueous solution in long tube shape.With the growth of roots,the number of RBCs increases gradually and there is a biggest conservative value,the survival rate of RBCs decreased with the root length,2 cm-long-peas are selected to study.2.Nano silicon deposition in the layers 1,2,3,and 4 of self-assembly layers can effectively restrain Al toxicity to cells,and there is no obvious influence within different assembly layers.Through comprehensive consideration,we set up the number of self-assembly layers to two.LBL induces the deposition of nano-silicon on the cell surface to prevent the increase of ROS level induced by aluminum toxicity,alleviating the damage of Al toxicity to RBCs.3.0.005 mg/L of PEI can successfully induce nano silicon deposition in the surface of RBCs to alleviate Al toxicity to cells,the mechanism is nano-silicon deposition reduces the increase of ROS level induced by aluminum toxicity,the decrease of mitochondrial membrane potential and activity,thereby alleviating the death of cells caused by aluminum toxicity.4.The induction of nano silicon deposition in RBCs under the co-culture with nano silicon is superior to Al toxicity remission compared with the layers of self-assembly.Under the range of Al concentration 100?mol/L,250?mol/L,500?mol/L,the induction of nano-SiO2 deposition by PEI can effectively alleviate cellular Al toxicity,improve cell activities,and reduce the active Al level,which really restrains the damage to cells,however,the specific interaction mechanism between Si and Al needs further investigation.Through the study,we thing that PEI can effectively induce the deposition of nano-silicon on the cell surface,and it has a significant protective effect on RBCs in up to 500?mol/L aluminum ion environment.This study is great importance in alleviating or eliminating the aluminum toxicity of acidic soil.
