In order to optimize and screen the vegetation suitable for the slope of the Southto-North Water Diversion Project,the soil and suitable planting of the mid-line slope of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project in the Xinzheng Section of Henan Province were studied,and the research on vegetation species selection and vegetation growth adaptability for the slope of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project was carried out.On the basis of investigating the growth status of the vegetation on the slope slope of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project around Zhengzhou and the later management and protection methods,the typical canal segment was selected for soil sampling analysis of the slope and the main limiting factors affecting the vegetation growth in the area were discussed.According to the soil characteristics of the canal slope,the grass species suitable for local planting were selected for suitable seeding experiments.By real-time observation of the growth of grasses,plants suitable for the promotion and application of the mid-stream slopes of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project were selected,and reasonable management methods and suggestions were proposed.Provide experience in protection and vegetation restoration of the channel slope of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project,effectively alleviating the contradiction between engineering construction and ecological environment destruction.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Soil sampling analysis was carried out by selecting typical canal slopes with different plant growth conditions.The results showed that the vegetation growth was different and the soil traits were not obvious,indicating that the grass growth condition of the canal was in addition to the soil itself.Poor capacity,drought time,pruning and establishment measures are related to daily management and maintenance.(2)By selecting the principle of suitable planting,five herbaceous plants were selected for unicast test to determine the late stage and growth indexes(coverage,growth characteristics,plant density,root length)of the plants.Horseshoe gold and bison grass performed better.Both of them are basically no need for irrigation after Chengping,no need to pruning,large coverage,few weeds,simple management and easy planting,suitable for promotion and application in the middle line of the Southto-North Water Transfer Project.(3)In order to understand the relationship between the soil condition and the changes of main nutrients and vegetation growth after the suitable planting,the soil total nitrogen(TN)and quick-acting in different seasons and different levels of three typical plots were analyzed.The law of change of nitrogen and organic matter.The results showed that the soil condition continued to improve.With the prolongation of vegetation growth time,the content of TN,available nitrogen and organic matter in both shallow and deep soils increased,and the grass slope protection had certain improvement effects on the slope soil.(4)By analyzing the various erosion characteristics of different grasses and bare slopes under different water discharge conditions,the following conclusions can be drawn: using the commonly used grass planting slope protection,Increasing vegetation coverage,improving soil erosion resistance and erosion intensity,and greatly reducing surface runoff and soil erosion,effectively controlling soil erosion,preventing runoff erosion and preventing soil erosion in the South-to-North Water Diversion Slope Has a good soil and water conservation effect.(5)The purpose of grass planting on the slope of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project is to protect the slopes,prevent soil erosion,protect the water quality of the canals,and increase the landscape effect.Therefore,it is only necessary to meet the requirements of the canal slope.It is difficult to plant grass slopes in the slopes of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.It is difficult to trim the low and flat,with lush foliage and vigorous vitality.As long as the cover degree of the grass species reaches 70% or more,it can effectively solidify the slope protection,not dead,not degraded,evenly tidy,and the height of the grass layer can meet the management requirements.
