Seed screening is of great importance to seed quality and agricultural production.Gravity separator is one of the basic screening equipment,which can filter impurities and achieve the proportion of seed grading.At present,the selection result of seed gravity-separators needs to be judged by human eyes.The parameter setting method depends on experience and requires a large number of repeated experiments,resulting in waste of resources and low production efficiency,which is not suitable for seed processing of small quantities and varieties.Therefore,it is of theoretical significance and practical value to study the screening effect detection based on machine vision and the parameter adjustment method of specific seed gravity separators to improve the intelligence level.In order to detect the screening effect based on machine vision,an image acquisition system was set up first.The method of preprocessing and segmentation of the seed images after screening is studied.To solve the problems of light overlapping and sticking in images,the corners are detected combined with the shape features.The feature extraction for segmented single seed including: geometric features,color features and texture features.To study the mechanism of specific gravity screening,the discrete element method was used to simulate the movement and mechanical state of the population on the surface of the sieve.The particle model and sieve bed geometric model were established;the secondary development of particle force of EDEM software was carried out to realize the wind loading in the process of screening.The influence law of working parameters and screening effect was analyzed.The seeds of croissants and cucumber seeds were used for testing the detection algorithm based on machine vision screening.The ZLX-150 type seed screening machine by gravity was used to screen the wheat seeds and the simulation results were verified.Finally,the adjusting method and optimal range of working parameters of gravity type seed screening machine are proposed.In this paper,method for detection screening result based on the machine vision and working parameter adjustment method improved the intelligent level of seed gravity-separator.
