Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen is a rare medicinal plant resource distributed only in Xinjiang and a good medicine for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. At present,it is only distributed in Baishidun Township,Nileke County,Yili Prefecture, and urgent measures are needed to protect and recover. Therefore,it is important to clarify the ecological adaptability and its wild tending, introduction and cultivation and industrial development. However, due to the small number of distribution points in the real population, the lack of literature records limits the quantitative research on the potential distribution of resources. This study intends to enrich the distribution of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen by the same habitat characteristics of the same genus, and combine the MaxEnt model and GIS technology to predict the current potential habitat of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen and the impact of future climate on its suitable area.research.Through the field investigation of five fern species in the genus A.in the northern Xinjiang, the species composition, plant distribution, habitat characteristics and soil physical and chemical properties of the five species of fern were compared and analyzed, and the similarity of the same plant habitats was analyzed. The measured points of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen were used as the verification set.The 16 distribution points of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen and the other 63 distribution points of the four ferulic species were respectively training sets. The maximum entropy model(MaxEnt)was used for verification by global climate data. The potential areas of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen under current and future climate change were predicted, and the soil temperature and humidity of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen were continuously monitored for three years to understand the habitat soil requirements. The main findings are as follows:(1)Through comparative studies,it was found that the five fern species had similar habitat characteristics.Through verification,we found that the Feranza sinkiangensis K.M.Shen measured points were predicted by Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen only and four ferula species predicted the similarity of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen > 70% of the area covered,it can be seen that the method of supplementing four ferulic species to predict Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen is accurate and feasible.(2)Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen the most suitable water requirement(volume water content)during the growth period was 35.42%,the vegetative period was 33.81%,the flowering period was 37.75%,and the fruit period was 29.74%.The optimum temperature during the growth period: 4.24 °C in the germination period,10.31°C in the vegetative period,14.77°C in the flowering period, and 19.98 ° C in the fruit period.(3)The potential distribution area of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen is mainly concentrated in Nilek County and Yining County in Yili District,Toli County and Emin County in Tacheng District and the eastern part of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture. The contribution rate of the most dry month precipitation is 59.4%,the precipitation in the most dry season is 11.9%,and the average temperature in the coldest season is 7%,which is the three main environmental factors affecting the distribution of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen.(4)Under the RCP6.0(Typical Concentration Path)scenario, compared to the contemporary,2050 period,Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen is still in the east-west region along the Tianshan Mountains in Yining County and Nileke County of Xinjiang Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture.Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen is highly suitable for distribution, but the total area is reduced to about 103,800 km2,which is nearly 14% smaller than the total area under the contemporary situation. The specific reduction areas are Manas County,Nileke County,Xinyuan County,Shihezi City and Tori County, and its highly-distributed area as a whole migrated to high latitudes. Therefore, our research shows that the distribution of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen is far from reaching its potential distribution range. The current data showing that Changji,Tacheng and Altay are not widely distributed are also optional areas for artificial planting.Because its distribution is also affected by topography and soil factors,it is recommended to take into account the specific topography, soil properties and other factors in the cultivation process, and rational allocation is conducive to its cultivation. In the future climate change, the distribution of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen is decreasing, and should be prevented in advance to better protect and utilize.
