The research on the stereotyped behavior of giant panda has been carried out for more than ten years. Most managers use toys feeding enrichment, food enrichment or stereotyped behavior of these two kinds of combination of the panda's correction, these methods have some positive effects on the behavior modification, but the effect is not significant.Based on this, this paper from the odor enrichment and toy enrichment comparative study on modification of stereotypic behavior, characteristics, stereotyped behavior of captive giant panda enrichment correction mode and behavior discusses the results, provide a reference to revision of the stereotyped behavior of captive giant pandas. In this paper, four adult pandas in captivity were taken as the research object, and divide them into two groups.Odor enrichment and toy enrichment were used respectively in two groups to reduce the proportion of theirs stereotyped behavior. The results were following:(1)Odor enrichment stereotypic behavior of giant pandas, foraging behavior and behavior have a significant impact, can significantly reduce stereotypic behavior, increase the feeding behavior and activity, but the behavior of resting of giant pandas has no significant effect;(2)Toy enrichment stereotypic behavior of giant pandas, foraging behavior and behavior have a significant impact, can significantly reduce stereotypic behavior, increase the feeding behavior and activity, but the behavior of resting of giant pandas has no significant effect;(3)The effect of odor enrichment on the stereotypic behavior, feeding behavior and activity behavior of giant pandas was lasting and significantly better than that of giant pandas with toys. After a certain period of time, the effect of the toys is weakened obviously.
