Paeonia suffruticosa Andr.is Paeoniaceae plants Deciduous shrubs,which is a traditional ornamental and medicinal plant in China.The climate in the northeast is cold.Although the number of introduction and variety of peony in the Northeast has increased rapidly in recent decades,the crossbreeding of the peony remains slow,and the peony varieties with northeastern characteristics have not yet been selected and the number of hybrids is low.This experiment selected peony varieties with strong growth,no pests and diseases,fertility,high natural fertility,and the ability to withstand cold and winter winters safely in winter in Northeast China.Observe the flowering period of the parents,determine the pollen viability,select the variety with strong pollen viability as the male parent,observe the germination dynamics of the pollen,determine the strength of the stigma receptivity,and conduct an artificial hybridization test on the hybrid female parent using different pollination methods.The pollen germination rate,the number of hybrid parents,and the 1000-grain weight of seeds were counted.The main results of the study are as follows:1.By observed the hybrid parents flowering phenology,most the hybrid parents flowing about 8 or 10 days.The P.rockii Rock Group folwing is later and the ‘Fengdan White' and P.×suffruticosa Zhongyuan Group completely meet,is suitable in flowering pollination.2.By vitro germination method to determine pollen viability,the results show,different Paeonia pollen viability are different.The P.rockii Rock Group is the best and the P.×suffruticosa Japan Group is lower than P.×suffruticosa Zhongyuan Group.3.By observed the stigma of mucus secretion and the stigma receptivity most of hybrid parents stigma of mucus secretion about 2 days.The artificial pollination time is very short because the receptivity an mucus secretion show singlet trend.4.In the hybrid test,in the three methods of solution spraying,advance pollination and injection of carpels on the stigma of the female parent,the average seeded number of the solution spray was significantly higher than that of the advanced pollination,the number of advanced pollination and the artificial pollination without treatment.The number of solids is not much different,and the injection of carpels causes some carpelinfections to wither or die prematurely during the injection process.This study shows that during the process of cross breeding of peony in Northeast China,the flowering period of peony cultivars differs significantly;the pollen motility of different peony cultivars differs significantly,and the pollen germination process of peony is divided into two stages;the sapling mucus and receptivity The results showed that there was a unimodal trend;different pollination methods had different effects on the seed number of the cross-parents.In the experiment of improving the seed-setting number of the peony,the method of spraying the stigma by solution could significantly increase the number of hybrid seed.
