The shortage of water resources has become an increasingly prominent problem.Measuring and calculating the corresponding flow values in irrigation areas rapidly and accurately is very important for water resources monitoring.At present,most of the flow measurement methods are carried out by traditional direct measurement methods.These methods are costly and need to be maintained frequently in the later period.Moreover,in the measuring process,it is also easy to be disturbed by water grass or sediment in the channel.Water flow monitoring system based on artificial neural network is designed in this paper.This system uses the water level sensor to collect the water level in the irrigation area,and the flow value can be calculated by the water level-flow soft measurement model.In this method,the interference of the water level sensor to collect data is less,it can work steadily and reliably and realize the function of real-time monitoring flow.The main contents of the system design are as follows:According to the natural flow trapezoidal channel with a certain gradient widely used in China.A single water level-flow measurement model based on GA-BP neural network is proposed.In the case of backwater,a two level-flow volume measurement model of irrigation area based on GA-BP neural network is established.Firstly,the traditional least squares curve fitting method and the traditional soft measurement model based on BP neural network are used to calculate the water flow.Then,according to the actual irrigation area data,the accuracy difference between the models established by the three methods are compared through simulation.The Simulations results show the advantages of the GA-BP neural network model relative to the least square method and the neural network model.According to the flow collection and transmission demand in the irrigation area flow monitoring system.The system hardware is designed.The module mainly contains 5 part:(1)water level sensor selection,(2)irrigation field RTU design,(3)wireless communication chip selection and design,(4)the water level meter communication between irrigation field RTU,(5)irrigation field RTU communication between PC.At the same time,design the lightning protection for all kinds of equipment in the irrigation area.Ensure that the various hardware modules in the system are low power and safe and stable.According to the overall hardware deployment and transmission requirements of the system,the software of irrigation area water flow monitoring system is designed.The system contains the program design of water level sensor node in irrigation area,RTU program design,and monitoring host computer design based on Web browser.After collecting the water level data from the irrigated area,RTU sends it to the server through GPRS,and the host computer server side off-line importing the algorithm model,calculate and analyze water flow and display data.
