Long-term high temperature generally leads to high male rate in cucumbers,and excessively high male rate will directly reduce the yield,which is destructive to the production of cucumber in summer and autumn.For the cucumber planting in summer and autumn in Guanzhong area,the phenomenon of high temperature and low female rate appears frequently.We use the existing experimental conditions of Jingyang Vegetable Experimental station to study the relationship between high temperature and female flower node rate,so as to provide practical basis for further study on the relationship between high temperature and cucumber sex type genes.Through the spring and autumn experiments in 2018,the following results are obwerved:1.Under high temperature,the female flower node rate of monoecious materials changed significantly,but the female flower node rate of gynoecious materials did not change significantly.2.According to the study on the effect of high temperature on monoecious lines,XinTai cultivar is sensitive to high temperature;The 705 variety is less sensitive to high temperature and is suitable for planting in Guanzhong area.Based on the observation using two-leaf seedlings,high temperature can significantly reduce the female flower node rate below 10 nodes,among which the effect on 6-10 nodes is significant,but the effect on the rate of flower node within 11-20 nodes is not obviously.The long-term temperature treatment was more effective than the short high temperature treatment on the female rate changes.3.There was no significant change in the female flower node rate in gynoecious materials at high temperature,but there was a difference in the flowering time of female flowers.It was found that there was a significant relationship between flowering time and different genotype combinations.According to the different genotypes,there was an obvious genetic background difference in flowering time of gynoecious materials under high temperature.In Gy14xAM297 background,the phenotype might be al quality trait.In SB-2xAM297 background,there might be a major gene,but the quantity is still not clear.In 83GxAM297 background,it tends to be a quantitative trait controlled by multiple genes,presenting a normal distribution.
