For a long years,antibiotics have been widely used as feed additives in the aquaculture industry.However,the antibiotics have been prohibited following the strict specification of antibiotics published by World Health Organization.Therefore,It is vital to search antibiotics substitutes for the development of modern animal of husbandry.Lycium barbarum crude polysaccharide(LBP)is a new type of Chinese herbal medicine extract,which has natural growth promotion,immune regulation,antioxidant and antiviral effects.It will not produce drug-resistant bacteria in the process of using,and is one of the effective products to replace antibiotics.In this experiment,300 AA broilers were selected and randomly divided into 5 treatments,with 6 cages and 10 chickens per cage.The group1(CTE),Antibiotic group(CTE,25mg/kg chlortetracycline + bas-al diet);the group2(CON,basic diet),Blank group;group 3(LBP3),group 5(LBP5)and group 7(LBP7),crude polysaccharide groups were added 3g/kg,5g/kg and 7g/kg respectively.The growth performance,antioxidant and immune functions of five groups of broilers were studied in two stages: 1~21 days and 22~42 days.On days of 21 and 42,the broilers were weighed and slaughter,and taken off serum,thymus,spleen,bursa and liver samples from broilers.The effect of lycium barbarum crude polysaccharide on Growth Performance,I-mmune Function,Anti-oxidation of livers and serums on Broilers were studied.The test results are as follows:1.Effect of lycium barbarum crude polysaccharide on growth performance of b-roilers: Polysaccharides could improved the growth performance of broilers.During the period from 22 to 42 days,the ADG and ADFI of the LBP7 gro up increased significantly(P<0.05),and F/G were significantly increased(P<0.05).Meanwhile,ADFI of broilers in LBP5 group were significantly increased fr-o m 1 to 21 days(P<0.05),and the F/G was also significantly increased during t he period of 22~42 days(P<0.05),and the ADG were significantly increased(P<0.05).In summary,polysaccharide c-an effectively improve the growth performa nce of broiler chickens,but the the mortality of broilers was slightly effected.The best effect was obtained when the amount of polysaccharide added was 7g/kg.2.Effect of lycium barbarum crude polysaccharide on Immune performance of broilers: During the period of 1 to 21 days,the spleen and bursal index of the LBP5 group were increased exclusively(P<0.05).On day 21,IgG and IgM levels were increased in the LBP5 and LBP7 groups(P<0.05).On day 42,the IgG content of the LBP7 group were increased significantly,and the IgM content of the LBP7 group was also significantly increased compared with the antibiotic group(P<0.05).In summary,polysaccharide can improve the immune function of broilers,and has a greater impact on the bursa index,IgG and IgM of broilers.Adding 5g/kg during 1~21 days,and adding 7g/kg is the best.3.Effect of lycium barbarum crude polysaccharide on antioxidant activity of broiler serum: On the 21 st day,the serum enzyme activities of T-AOC,T-S OD and GSH-P-x of the LBP5 group were significantly increased(P<0.05),and T-SOD was significantly increased on 42d(P<0.05).Meanwhile,the T-AOC of the LBP5 was higher than that of the antibiotic group(P<0.05).The T-SOD o f the LBP7 was significantly increased on 21d(P<0.05).In conclusion,polysacc haride can improve the serum antioxidant enzyme activity and antioxidant capa city of broilers,and the best effect is 5g/kg.4.Effect of lycium barbarum crude polysaccharide on antioxidant activity of broiler liver: The liver MAD content of LBP5 group was significantly decreased during the first period(P<0.05).On the 21 st day,the LBP5 and LBP7 groups increased the liver GSH-Px activity(P<0.05),and the LBP5 group also increased the T-AOC activity(P<0.05).On the 42 nd day,the GSH-Px activity of all polysaccharide groups was significantly increased(P<0.05).In addition,T-AOC activity of LBP7 group was also improved(P<0.05).On the 21 st day,the expression of SOD1,SOD2,CAT,Nrf2 genes in the LBP5 group increased(P<0.05),while the low and high dose polysaccharide groups increased the expression ofNrf2 and CAT genes(P<0.05).On the 42 nd day,the LBP3 and LBP7 groups increased the expression of SOD1 and SOD2 genes in the liver(P<0.05),and the expression of Nrf2 and CAT genes in all polysaccharide groups increased(P<0.05).In conclusion,lycium barbarum crude polysaccharide can improve liver antioxidant function and total antioxidant capacity,antioxidant enzyme activity and related gene expression.Adding 7g/kg is the best.
