Wheat is the most important food crop in northwest China.Drought is one of the important environmental factors affecting wheat yield.Plant drought resistance is a complex biological trait regulated by multiple genes.Therefore,accurate and rapid identification of drought resistance of wheat varieties and analysis of its molecular mechanism are of great significance for wheat drought resistance breeding.In this study,wheat near-isogenic lines Tadt and Tads were used as materials to analyze the drought resistance of wheat from two methods:simulated drought in the laboratory and natural drought in the field.The main results are as follows:1.The drought resistance of Tadt strain is better than Tads strain in wheat near-isogenic lines.It is mainly reflected in the increase of wheat germination rate;coleoptile length and radicle length reduce.2.The increase of the antioxidant level is related to the increase of the drought resistance of the Tadt strain,which is mainly reflected in the increase of the activities of SOD,POD,APX,CAT.3.The Tadt strain improved drought resistance of wheat by regulating photosynthesis,which is mainly reflected in the adjustment of wheat net photosynthetic rate,transpiration rate,stomatal conductance,and intercellular CO2 concentration,thereby maintaining a higher flag leaf length,Flag leaf width,plant height data,and increased the Thousand kernel weight of wheat and the number of spikes per mu,which is helpful to the stability of wheat yield under drought conditions.4.The improvement of water-related indicators contributes to the improvement of the drought resistance of Tadt strain.The specific process is to promote the expression of related genes,which in turn increases the content of chlorophyll,proline,and soluble proteins in wheat.Specific regulatory pathways require in-depth study by experts.In summary,the Tadt strain of wheat near-isogenic lines is better than the Tads strain in drought resistance,and the increase in resistance may be related to the increase in photosynthesis,osmotic adjustment,and antioxidant capacity.
