Propylaea japonica is a species of predatory natural enemy of Bemisia tabaci,with the high temperature-resistant and hunger-tolerant characteristics.It can feed on many insect pests,such as Bemisia tabaci and aphids,on various agricultural and forestry plants.However,the large scale reproductions of Propylaea japonica in factory has not been solved in actual application.When Propylaea japonica were fed on artificial feeds,its reproduction rate and the number of adults were very low.There is an urgent need for a technical process using natural bait to achieve mass reproduction.Encarsia formosa is a parasitic natural enemy of Bemisia tabaci,which has achieved mass reproduction.In agricultural green production,it is widely used to control Bemisia tabaci in the greenhouse.Encarsia formosa can form a natural enemy combination with Propylaea japonica to improve the control effect.Trapping plants is also widely used to attract and hinder the harm of agricultural pests to crops in green ecological agricultural production.This paper studies the overwintering Propylaea japonica using the wisteria aphid Aulacophoroides hoffmanni as a bait to achieve propagation,the selection of Bemisia tabaci for trapping plants,the trapping effect of Solanum nigrum on Bemisia tabaci,the combination of Propylaea japonica and Encarsia formosa to control Bemisia tabaci Technology System.The main research results are as follows:1.The experiment found that Propylaea japonica fed with two aphids can complete its life history,but continuous feeding of Megoura japonica leads to an extension of the development period of the egg stage and pupal stage,and a reduction in egg production.The average development period of each group in the larval stage is from large to small: feeding Megoura japonica second generation(7.17d)> feeding Megoura japonica first generation(6.96d)> feeding Aulacophoroides hoffmann first generation(6.93d)> feeding Aulacophoroides hoffmann second generation of(6.53d).2.The number of Bemisia tabaci on Solanum nigrum increased to 40.33 heads over time.The number of Bemisia tabaci on Cucumis sativus and Solanum melongena increased to 24.67 heads and 9.33 heads respectively.The number of Bemisia tabaci on Solanum lycopersicum and Capsicum annuum decreased to 20.33 heads and 4.33 heads respectively.The tendency of Bemisia tabaci to the five plants was as follows: Solanum nigrum > Cucumis sativus > Solanum lycopersicum > Solanum melongena > Capsicum annuum.In the greenhouse where tomatoes were planted,the trapping plant Solanum nigrum trapped 67% of the adults of Bemisia tabaci.At the same time,it was observed that with time,only sporadic Bemisia tabaci adults survived.3.Bemisia tabaci can only complete half of the life history on Solanum nigrum.The firstinstar,second-instar,and third-instar nymph stages are prolonged.The overall survival rate on Solanum nigrum is 0.Bemisia tabaci nymphs cannot develop into adults.On Brassica oleracea and Helianthus annuus can complete the life history,and the overall survival rates are 91.05% and 83.93% respectively.4.The combination of Propylaea japonica and Encarsia formosa natural enemies has the best control effect on Bemisia tabaci adults,and Propylaea japonica has the best control effect on Bemisia tabaci nymphs.The combination of Propylaea japonica and Encarsia formosa natural enemies against Bemisia tabaci adults and nymphs is 83.5% and 72.1%,respectively;The best control effectiveness of Propylaea japonica on Bemisia tabaci adults and nymphs is 76.1% and 78.6%,respectively;The best control effect of Encarsia formosa on Bemisia tabaci adults and nymphs was 81.4% and 68.3%,respectively.
