Iron is an essential element of plants.The causes of iron deficiency in apples include not only soil factors,but also plant iron absorption,iron ion state and iron fertilizer type.In this study,the effects of regulators,chelating agents and reducing agents on iron absorption and accumulation of M hupenensis seedlings deficient in iron were studied under the condition of hydroponization.1.M hupenensis seedlings were cultured in Hoagland nutrient solution containing5.6mg/L sodium thiohydride and 8.5mg/L ethephon for 7 days,respectively,with increased chlorophyll content and significantly reduced yellowing symptoms.2.The concentrations of 5.6mg/L sodium thiohydride,8.5mg/L ethephon and 0.0002mg/L auxin significantly increased the active iron content in the new leaves of etiolated seedlings,and increased the total root length,root surface area,root volume,root tip number,root genotype cone number and root activity.Sodium thiohydride and ethephon also significantly increased the total iron content and photosynthetic rate of leaves.Sodium thiohydride is more effective.3.M hupenensis seedlings were cultured for 7 days in EDTA+HEDP,EDTA,HEDP and IDHA Hoagland nutrient solutions with concentrations of 0.02g/L respectively.The chlorophyll content was significantly increased,and the active iron content,total iron content and photosynthetic performance of new leaves of etiolated seedlings were significantly improved;four kinds of chelating agents also significantly increased the root activity,root surface area,root volume,root tip number and cone number of root type of etiolated seedlings,among which EDTA+HEDP was more significant.4.When M hupenensis were cultured in Hoagland nutrient solution containing fine ironpowder for 7 days,the chlorophyll content was significantly increased,and the active iron content,total iron content and photosynthetic performance of new leaves of M hupenensis were significantly improved.But it can lower the root system However,the total root length and root surface area of yellowing seedlings will decrease5.FeSO4,EDTA,HEDP and urea formaldehyde resin were mixed in a certain proportion with the process,and then crushed,compounded,cured and pressed into a new type of iron fertilizer;The new iron fertilizer can significantly increase the effective iron content in soil,and make the active iron content in M hupenensis,and the whole iron content in the aboveground part and the underground part significantly increase.
