Tomato is one of the most important vegetable varieties in China. In recent years, domestic and foreign scholars have gradually increased the research on the effect of soil moisture on tomato plants.Irrigation water is the main source of water required for greenhouse vegetables.Formulating reasonable irrigation schemes and precise technical parameters can help improve the ability of vegetables to absorb soil moisture and nutrients, effectively improve water use efficiency, improve quality and yield, and increase economic efficiency.benefit.In this study, tomato was used as the research object, and drip irrigation technology was used to carry out field irrigation experiments. The response of split-root alternate irrigation, fixed irrigation and conventional irrigation under different irrigation water volumes was studied, from the distribution of soil water and its effect on irrigation water volume and irrigation methods. In response, combined with the monitoring of tomato water consumption process and the determination of tomato yield and quality indicators, the response mechanism of tomato growth physiological form, yield, water use and quality to tomato irrigation mode and water control was revealed. The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)Alternate rooting zone irrigation under mild water deficit treatment can effectively control tomato plant height, increase stem thickness, leaf area index, and leaf SPAD value, and effectively reduce plant growth redundancy. The tomato plant height, stem thickness and leaf area index of different treatments accorded with the slow-fast-slow growth law of the logistic curve.(2)Throughout the growing period, the treatment of tomato root water consumption with alternative root irrigation under the same amount of irrigation water has advantages over other irrigation treatments. From the perspective of water-saving effect analysis, the alternative root irrigation and fixed irrigation are stronger than conventional irrigation..Under the same water treatment, the water consumption under alternate root-root irrigation is only 61.7%of that under conventional irrigation.(3)By comparing the changes in water content on each side of the three different irrigation methods,it can be seen that the irrigation method has a clear effect on the left, middle, and right sides of the plant.Under the alternate root treatment, different water contents will be on both sides of the plant.Alternate formation of semi-humid areas, stimulate plant growth through feedback regulation. On the other hand, under such a dry and humid transformation environment, water will flow from the soil in the humid half to the arid half, increasing the lateral movement of water and nutrients, thereby reducing deep layers. The purpose of leakage and excessive nutrient loss.(4)Compared with conventional irrigation, the alternate rooting zone treatment significantly increased the number of fruits per plant and the yield per plant, and reduced the weight of each fruit. The increase in tomato yield was mainly due to the increase in the number of fruits.(5)Under the same water treatment, the alternative root irrigation treatment increased the irrigation water utilization efficiency by 31.2%compared with the conventional irrigation treatment, which improved the irrigation water utilization efficiency to a certain extent, and exerted the biological water-saving potential of the plant itself.(6)Alternate rooting irrigation can improve fruit firmness but has a small effect on the water content of the fruit.Under alternate rooting irrigation, increasing the water content can increase the moisture content and soluble solids content of the fruit, but it will sacrifice some fruits Moisture content as a cost.
