Soil saturated hydraulic conductivity was an important hydraulic parameter,the saturated hydraulic conductivity of the soil was measured by the Guelph Penetrometer.The purpose was to explore the optimal measurement method based on the Guelph Penetrometer.The soil saturated hydraulic conductivity of sandy soil,sandy loam and loam,were measured in.Infiltration characteristics was studied single head measurement methods(Updated single head analysis method 5cm head,10cm head)Double-head measurement method(Two head analysis method,Bohne anailsis method)and in indoor ring-knife method were comparative analysised to measure the soil saturated hydraulic conductivity.The methonds were judged according to the correlation of the coefficient of variation of soil saturation hydraulic conductivity.The results were as follows:1.The soil water infiltration rates of these three textures showed the characteristics of fast to slow and finally stabilize.The time for the sandy soil to reach the stable infiltration rate was 8 minutes,and the time for the sandy loam and loam to reach the stable infiltration rate was 1 Omin.2.The saturated hydraulic conductivity of soils were measured with different textures was measured based on the Guelph Penetrometer.The optimal calculation method for determining the saturated hydraulic conductivity of sandy surface soil was TH;the optimal calculation method for the lower sandy soil and sandy loam was BH;the optimal calculation method for the saturated hydraulic conductivity of the sandy loam surface and each layer of loam was USH5.
