In this thesis, five experiments were conducted to study the influence of Hu sheep on unconventional feed materials and feeding preferences of feed attractants, and the feeding experiment was used to evaluate the effect of attractants on the growth and fattening performance of fattening Hu sheep and provide scientific basis for the development, utilization and application of attractants on fattening Hu sheep. The first experiment was to study the preference of the fattening Hu sheep for the four roughages.Twelve healthy Hu lambs were selected and randomly divided into 3 treatments according to body weight, with 4 sheep for each treatment. The experiment used a 3×3 compound Latin design, and the dietary treatments were to simultaneously provide corn stalk vs shell of sunflower seed;corn stalk vs barley stalk;corn stalk vs cole stalk. There were three periods of the experiment, each period had 17 days including a transition period of 7 days and a trial period of 10 days. Each sheep was provided with two feed troughs and raised individually. The corn stalk diet was used as the reference diet, and the other diets were the experimental diets. Each dietary was supplied at 1.2 times of the dry matter intake. The results showed that the fattening Hu sheep had the highest preference for corn stalk diets(64%),which was significantly higher than cole stalk(35.47%),barley stalk(35.32%)and shell of sunflower seed diets(34.67%).There were no significant difference in the production performances of Hu sheep's feed intake, daily gain, and feed-to-weight ratio among the four roughage diets. The second experiment was to study the effect of fattening Hu sheep on the feeding preferences of five by-products.In this experiment,32(26.14±0.44)kg healthy Hu lambs were selected with the single factor random block design. The experiment included two parts.First, the animals are randomly divided into 4 treatments according to body weight, each treatment had 8 sheep and raised individually. The pre-feeding period is 10 days, the transition period is 7 days, and the formal period is 18 days and to study the feeding preference of Hu sheep to the reference diet and apple pomace diet, white distiller's grains diet, chrysanthemum meal diet and grape pomace diet.In the second part of the experiment,Hu sheep were randomly divided into 6 treatments according to body weight with 6 sheep each treatment, experiment period were the same as the first part of the experiment. The apple pomace, white distiller's grains, chrysanthemum meal and grape pomace were compared in pairs to explore the feeding preference of Hu sheep to the four by-product diets. The results showed that the feeding preference of Hu sheep to the corn bran group(70%)was higher than other diets,The poorest palatability of the four by-product diets was Distillers grains(24.77%);there were no significant differences in the production performance of Hu sheep in terms of feed intake and daily gain among the treatment groups in the experimental period. The third experiment was to study the feeding preference of Hu sheep to 8 kinds of attractants. In this experiment,a single factor randomized block design was used.32 healthy Hu lambs were divided into 4 treatments according to body weight, with 8 sheep for each treatment. There are 33 days in total, including two parts. The first part of the experiment tests Hu sheep's preference for sweetener 1,flavor,sweet combination, sweet orange milk flavor attractant. The formal period is 16 days, divided into two phases conducted for 8 days per period, with a 5-day transition period in each period;the second part tests the feeding preference of Hu sheep for fruity, hawthorn, sweetener 2,and milk-flavored attractants. After the 7-day transition period,an 8-day formal period is carried out.The experimental design is the same as the first part of the study. Each sheep is provided with two troughs, and the feeding management is the same as the second experiment. The results showed that Hu sheep had a clear preference for the sweet-sweet combination(57.36%)and sweet orange milk-flavored attractants(56.11%).Hu sheep's preference for sweetener type 2 diet(53.02%)was slightly higher than the control diet(46.98%).There were no significant differences in the production performances of the feed intake,feed-to-weight ratio, daily weight gain, etc.of the Hu sheep.Experiment 4 added three predominant eater attractants to different palatability diets on the basis of the first three experiments, and clarified the effect of eater attractants on regulating the feeding preference of Hu sheep under different basic diets. In this experiment,a single-factor randomized block design was used.98 healthy Hu lambs were selected as the experimental animals, which were randomly divided into 7 treatments according to body weight, with 14 sheep for each treatment. There are a total of 14 days in the trial, including a pre-feeding period of 6 days and a formal period of 8 days.Feeding management is the same as in trial 2.Comparing Hu sheep's basic diet 1(Corn stalks with better palatability as a source of roughage)and basic diet 2(Sunflower seed hulls with poor palatability as a source of roughage);sweet 1 and milky 1,sweet 1;milky 1 and sweet 1;sweet 2 and milk flavor 2,sweetness 2;milk flavor 2 and sweetness 2 feeding preference, the results showed that: Hu sheep's feeding preference for corn stalks(86.29%)as a roughage feed diet is significantly higher than sunflower seed hulls(13.71%)as roughage source of feed.when corn stalkr is used as a roughage source, sweetness 1 is higher than milky aroma 1 than sweetness 1;when sunflower seed shell is used as a roughage source, sweetness 2 is higher than sweetness 2 and milky aroma 2 is used. There were no significant differences in production performances such as feed intake and daily weight gain of Hu sheep between the treatment groups during the experiment period. The fifth experiment was to study the effect of three dominant attractants on the performance and blood parameters of fattening Hu sheep. In this experiment,76 Hu lambs were selected and divided into 4 treatments, each with 19 sheep. There were a total of 52 days in the trial, including 7 days in the transition period and 45 days in the official period, and fed in a single pen.The results showed that there was no significant difference in production performance and blood parameters such as average dry matter intake, daily gain, and feed-to-weight ratio among the four treatment groups. In summary,Hu sheep's preference for corn stalks is higher than that for corn stalk, barley stalk, and sunflower seed husks;the preference for corn bran is higher than that for apple pomace, white distiller's grains diet, chrysanthemum meal, grape pomace, and apple pomace.Food preference is higher than white distiller's grains diet, chrysanthemum meal and grape pomace.Feeding preference for white distiller's grains is lower than grape pomace and chrysanthemum meal.Feed preference for grape pomace is higher than chrysanthemum meal;sweet orange milk flavor, sweet combination, sweetener 2 It has a lure effect on Hu sheep, but adding attractant has no effect on the performance and blood parameters of Hu sheep.
