Beijing is a city with a shortage of water resources. In 2018,51%of the city's water consumption came from South-to-North Water Diversion and Reclaimed Water.Ecological water accounts for 34%of Beijing's total water supply in 2018.In order to alleviate the serious shortage of water resources in Beijing,it is the key to realize the water saving of garden green space. In order to realize the goal of saving water in garden green space, the water consumption of the whole city garden green space in Beijing must be estimated accurately. In this paper, the water consumption of trees, shrubs and herbs in Beijing was studied by using Wang Rui hui et al.Based on the spatial scale expansion, the potential annual water consumption of urban green plants in 16 built-up of Beijing is estimated, analyzed and compared. The main results are as follows:(1)The total annual water consumption of all trees and shrubs in urban green space in Beijing is about 1.402 billion m~3,According to plant types:the total annual water consumption of tree species is about 1.104 billion m~3,accounting for 78.69%of the total plant water consumption in Beijing;the total annual water consumption of shrubs is about 138 million m~3,accounting for 9.87%of the total plant water consumption in Beijing;the total annual water consumption of herbaceous plants is about 160 million m~3,accounting for 11.43%of the total plant water consumption in Beijing. In Trees,broad-leaved trees is about 1.1 billion m~3,coniferous trees about 4 million m~3;In Shrubs, deciduous shrubs is about 61 million m~3,shrub green balls is about 40 million m~3,hedgerows is about 36 million m~3,evergreen coniferous shrubs is about 100 million m~3;In Herbs, lawns is about 147 million m~3,ground cover plants is about 13million m~3.(2)Among the 16 districts in Beijing,in Beijing, accounting for 23.94%of total water consumption in 16 districts,Fangshan District(12.06%),Changping District(12.06%),Haidian District(7.89%),Fengtai District(7.85%),Shunyi District(7.32%),Tongzhou District(7.32%),Daxing District(6.88%),Shijingshan District(3.60%),Huairou District(2.38%),Mentougou District(2.30%)and Pinggu District(2.21%),Yanqing District(2.15%),Dongcheng District(1.33%),Xicheng District(1.29%)and Miyun District(1.14%).(3)Among the 16 plant types in Beijing, the water consumption is ranked first in broad-leaved trees, second in lawns, third in deciduous shrubs, fourth in shrub green balls, fifth in shrub hedges, sixth in ground cover plants, seventh in coniferous trees and last in coniferous shrubs.(4)Among the 16 districts in Beijing, the water consumption of green space is the first, accounting for 51.50%of the total water consumption, the second is park green space(28.00%),the third is protected green space(15.61%),and the fourth is production green space(4.89%).(5)The water consumption of coniferous trees is mainly concentrated in the attached green space(92.34%),deciduous trees are mainly distributed in the park green space(29.28%)and the attached green space(46.91%),deciduous shrubs are mainly distributed in the park green space(32.49%)and the attached green space(47.55%),shrub hedges are mainly distributed in the attached green space(86.15%),shrub green balls are mainly distributed in the attached green space(88.15%),shrub needles are mainly distributed in the park green space(24.53%)and the attached green space(70.61%),and ground cover plants are mainly distributed in the park green space(47.66%).and attached green space(47.13%),the lawn was mainly distributed in park green space(30.54%)and attached green space(57.16%).This paper gives the result data of water consumption of urban green space, and helps the government departments to allocate and allocate the water resources of each water industry in a macroscopic way.
