Ancient trees live for long time,and there are rot,voids,and other defects in the trunk.These defects may cause to collapse and other bad cases.At the same time,the use and management of land may also threaten the roots,resulting in uncontrolled growth of roots,even road damage.As an effective nondestructive detection technology,radar wave is gradually applied to the field of non-destructive testing of trees for its advantages of real lossless,high detection precision,convenient carrying and simple operation,which is called the tree radar in the industry.However,due to the existence of diffracted waves,the tree wave images will be effect in the authenticity and accuracy.It is difficult to obtain the real size of defects and roots.There are still some problems such as low signal-to-noise ratio,inconspicuous defect features,and low visibility.Migration algorithm as an effective algorithm,which can obtain the distribution of underground complex medium structure accurately,and remove reflected and diffracted waves.At present,it is more mature in the use of seismic wave.There is mainly for the detection of large targets such as metal pipelines or mines in the common GPR migration,in which there is a high degree of consistency between the migration results and the model.In recent years,Migration have been gradually applied to the accurate location of root detection targets.Therefore,it is of great significance to study migration in tree trunk defect and root detection.Based on the above problems,this paper studies the Stolt and Phase-shift migration theory,combined with the GPR signal analysis theory,realizes the migrated imaging algorithm in the trunk and the root system.Through on forward data,standard test specimens and live-tree radar images,this method is verified feasibility and accuracy in the tree radar image.Calculating the value of image entropy and comparing the migration results with the model results.the phase-shift is selected as the algorithm model of the migration imaging system for tree trunk and root detection.This research focus on the use of the GPR theory to measure the trunk and the root system of trees.Compared with the original image,the migrated image is easier to identify the size of the defects and the roots.at the same time,the accuracy is improved.The algorithm is successfully applied to the detection of ancient trees in the Summer Palace,which provides support for the protection of ancient and famous trees.
