China is a traditional agricultural country,Xinjiang is an important agriculture province located in the Northwest China.Among its major economic crops,cotton is one of the most prevalent one.However,the irrigation pattern of cotton in Xinjiang is still use the traditional ways,that is,flood or drip irrigation,lack of accurate crop growth environment information and soil parameter data.But,a series of problems such as higher labor cost,but lower irrigate effectiveness and comprehensive utilization rate of water are getting worse and worse.According to the current common problem on the water utilization,we designed and developed a new system to monitor the temperature and humidity of the soil in cotton fields.This system is composed of three parts: the temperature and humidity wireless sensor collecting nodes,the wireless network collecting server and the distance monitoring center.Specially speaking,for hardware of the system,it consists of three parts: DHT11 wireless sensor for monitoring temperature and humidity,Zigbee wireless network which for sending and receiving data and Zigbee gateway;And for software,it also uses IAR and C programming language,Through the definition of ZigBee protocol stack application layer and the development of ZigBee wireless communication module,ZigBee wireless sensor network with star network topology is established to realize the wireless transmission of soil temperature and humidity information data.In addition,the system uses SQL Server software to create a cotton soil temperature and humidity database,which records and stores the collected data of cotton soil temperature and humidity,so as to control the information of cotton soil temperature and humidity in real time.This paper mainly analyzes the requirements of the monitoring system,designs the overall scheme of the system,and separately analyzes the hardware selection of the collection system,designs the circuit and compiles the program of the collection system.Finally,the interface of the remote monitoring center system is developed,and the cotton field soil temperature and humidity information monitoring system is built,and the test is carried out to verify it,so as to ensure the monitoring system The effectiveness and reliability of.The final results indicate that our system is maneuverable for setup,accurate for measuring and simple on structure,etc,after a list of tests including data collecting tests,effective transmission test between nodes as well as distance monitor interface.The maximum absolute error between the humidity measurement value and the standard value in the soil temperature test data sheet shall not exceed 0.6% RH,and the maximum absolute error between the temperature measurement value and the standard value shall not exceed 0.3?;The packet loss rate of terminal nodes and coordinators within 40 meters is zero so that the temperature and humidity of soil in the cotton fields can be monitored accurately and responded to abnormal states adventitiously.Based on the above priorities,our system is proper for applying in Xinjiang cotton irrigating pattern.It can provide accurate soil temperature and humidity data information for field planting information monitoring and management,That would be significant on scientific planting and effective saving water.
