| Rice and wheat are two major food crops in China,which play a dominant role in food production and consumption.Because of the different climate changes in different years and regions,the rice and wheat yield is unbalanced.Compared with the potential productivity of rice and wheat under natural conditions and the actual productivity of high-yielding in demonstration fields in China,there is a certain gap in the rice and wheat yield.In addition to environmental conditions,cultivation measures and genetic characteristics of varieties,the yield of rice and wheat is also affected by seed quality,which is an important factor restricting the yield and quality of rice and wheat in China.In order to improve the quality of conventional rice and wheat seeds,six conventional rice and wheat varieties,Yannong 19,Huaimai 33,Lianmai 8,Huajing 5,Lianjing 11 and Dahua Xiangluo,were selected as test samples based on Dongxin Branch of Jiangsu Dahua Seed Industry Group Co.,Ltd.By comparing the harvested seed sources,and drying methods,the germination rate and germination potential of seeds in different treatments such as drying were obtained,and the trend factors affecting the quality of seeds were obtained.The optimum harvest time of different varieties,the suitable drying methods and the selection of coating ratio of raw materials were put forward.The main results were described as follows:1.Six conventional rice and wheat varieties,Yannong 19,Huaimai 33,Lianmai 8,Huajing 5,Lianjing 11 and Dahua Xiangluo,were used as experimental materials.The results showed that seed harvest time affected seed maturity,seed maturity affected seed moisture content,and seed harvest time affected seed germination rate and germination potential.Seed harvest time directly affects the quality of seeds in later stage.2.Taking Huajing 5,Lianjing 11 and Dahua Xiangnuo as experimental materials,the results showed that the germination rate and germination potential of rice seeds were higher when the water content was in the range of 15-18%.When the water content was more than 18%,the seeds should be dried at low temperature before drying,and then the moisture should be drained at 45 C.The germination potential and germination rate of 6 varieties were better than that of 45 C and lower than that of 50 C.3.The germination rate of Xiyin 2 barley seeds coated with thiram-tebuconazole showed a downward trend.When using thiram-tebuconazole as seed coating agent,more than 90%germination rate of seeds should be selected as seed source to be coated to ensure that the germination rate of coated seeds was above 85%,and when using thiram-tebuconazole as seed coating agent,the germination rate of coated seeds should be above 85%.Achieve industry standards. |
