Maize crops that harvest once a year in northwest of my country is the research object of the study. It is the pointcut of the study, that using the on-site measurement method to determine the biological yield. The main research methods include the proximate analysis method, the Van Soest crude fiber analysis method, the nylon bag method and the moving nylon bag method. It is focus on the research that the effect of utilization methods on biological yield and nutritional value of maize crops.which have four utilization methods:A mode, the utilization method of silage;B mode, the utilization method of maize hay silage;C mode, the utilization method of dried straw and D mode, the utilization method of micro-storage fermented straw. The results of biological yield, chemical nutritional value that focus on the assessment of total energy and crude protein, and digestible nutritional value that focus on evaluating the total digestible energy, small intestine digestible crude protein and digestible crude protein, which is the evaluation index. To study the effects of different utilization methods on the biological yield and nutritional value of maize crops, which will help to provide theoretical basis and methodological guidance for the work of"Grain to feed",which is conducive to enhance the feed utilization of maize. The con MLusions of the study follows:(1)The biological yields for every hectare of maize crops in the four utilization modes of A,B,C,and D are:24.34 t/hm~2,24.58 t/hm~2,19.98 t/hm~2,19.98 t/hm~2.Therefore,the B mode is the highest.B mode is 0.99%higher than A mode.B mode is 23.02%higher than C mode.B mode is 23.02%higher than D mode. From the perspective of biological yield, the utilization method of maize hay silage is the best utilization method of maize crops.(2)The biomass that could be fed for every hectare of maize crops in different utilization methods of A,B,C,and D are:24.34 t/hm~2,24.58 t/hm~2,19.98 t/hm~2,19.48 t/hm~2.Therefore,the B mode is the highest.B mode is 0.99%higher than A method.B mode is23.02%higher than C mode.B mode is 26.18%higher than D mode. From the biomass that could be fed,the utilization method of maize hay silage is the best utilization method of maize crops.(3)The total energy and total crude protein for every hectare of maize crops in different utilization methods of A,B,C,and D are:390.98 KJ/hm~2and 1.41 t/hm~2,392.98 KJ/hm~2and1.64 t/hm~2,327.24 KJ/hm~2and 1.34 t/hm~2,320.28 KJ/hm~2and 1.33 t/hm~2.Therefore,the total energy and total protein of B mode are the highest. The total energy and total protein of B mode are 0.51%and 16.05%higher than the A mode.B mode are 20.09%and 21.90%higher than C mode.B mode are 22.70%and 22.97%higher than D mode. From the perspective of chemical nutritional value, the utilization method of maize hay silage is the best utilization method of maize crops.(4)The total digestible energy for every hectare of maize crops in different utilization methods of A,B,C,and D are:248.27 KJ/hm~2,287.43 KJ/hm~2,240.30 KJ/hm~2,245.19KJ/hm~2.The total digestible protein in small intestine is:48.21 Kg/hm~2,81.12 Kg/hm~2,70.55Kg/hm~2,71.02 Kg/hm~2.The total digestible protein is:928.05 Kg/hm~2,1211.54 Kg/hm~2,991.19 Kg/hm~2,994.13 Kg/hm~2.Therefore,the total digestible energy, total intestinal digestible protein and total digestible protein of B mode are the highest. The total digestible energy and total small intestinal digestible protein and total digestible protein of B mode are15.77%,68.26%and 30.55%higher than A mode.B mode are 19.61%,14.98%and 22.23%higher than C mode.B mode are 17.23%,14.22%and 21.87%higher than D mode. From the perspective of digestible nutritional value, the utilization method of maize hay silage is the best utilization method of maize crops. In summary, the utilization method of maize hay silage is the best utilization method of maize crops that harvest once a year in Northwest of my country.
