Objective : To understand the status of body image,analyze the influencing factors and explore the relationship between body image and coping modes,quality of life,so as to provide reference and basis for improving body image satisfaction and quality of life of patients with enterostomy.Methods : With the cross-sectional survey method,a questionnaire survey was conducted on 200 enterostomy patients in outpatient review and the patients who participated in the ostomy associationof by using the general data questionnaire,cancer patient body image scale(BIS)and medical coping modes questionnaire(MCMQ),the scale of quality of life(SQOL)for enterostomy patients.The data were analyzed by SPSS22.0,and the statistical methods included descriptive statistical analysis,t test,single factor analys of variance,and person correlation analysis.Results:1.The total score of body image in patients with enterostomy was(11.88±4.43),including cognitive dimension(5.33±2.27),behavioral dimension(3.10±1.22),emotional dimension(3.49±1.91).2.There were statistically significant in age,whether having a spouse,educational level,living pattern,working state and chemotherapy or not after surgery on body image satisfaction were statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The total score of coping modes of the patients with enterostomy was(42.96±4.95),including the facing dimension was(18.76±4.25),the avoidance dimension was(14.86±1.90),and the yield dimension was(9.34±2.28).The score of facedimension was lower than that of norm(P<0.05),and the scores of avoidance dimension and yield dimension were higher than norm(P<0.01).4.The total score of quality of life of patients with enterostomy was(44.66±6.58),including the social dimension(14.32±3.01),ostomy impact on the patient's dimensions(13.85±2.49),the relationship between dimensions and family and friends(9.27±2.14),physical and mental health dimensions(7.23±1.44).5.There was a negative correlation between total score of body image and the total score of facing dimension(r=-0.294,P<0.01),there were positive correlation between the total score of body image and the total score of avoidance dimension and yield dimension(r=0.284,P<0.01 & r=0.177,P<0.05).6.There was a negative correlation between the total score of body image and the total score of quality of life and the dimensions of body image were negatively correlated with the dimensions of quality of life(r=-0.171~-0.559,P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusions:1.The body image of the enterostomy patients is in a state of moderate dissatisfaction.2.Different ages,whether or not having a spouse,educational level,living pattern,working state and whether or not chemotherapy after surgery have impact on the satisfaction of body image.3.Patients with enterostomy tend to respond to withdrawal and submission.4.Enterostomy has great influence on the social interaction of patients,the quality of the enterostomy patients is at medium level,which needs further improvement.5.The positive coping style of patients with enterostomy helps to improve the body image satisfaction and the improvement of body image satisfaction helps to improve the quality of life.
