Objectives1.To introduce the The Short-Form Survivor Unmet Needs Survey(SF-SUNS),to translate and revise the Chinese version, analyze and test the Chinese version of psychometrics in cancer patients after cross-cultural debugging, and to evaluate the applicability of the Chinese version of the concise scale for measuring unmet needs of cancer patients in China.2.To investigate the impact of unmet need levels during cancer survival in cancer patients using the Chinese version of the Survivor Unmet Needs Survey(SF-SUNS-C).To Analyze its influencing factors and analyze the latent classes in the cancer patient population based on an individual perspective.Methods1.After obtaining the only Chinese version authorization of the research team of the original scale, the FACIT translation method was adopted to translate,back-translation,proofread,cross-culturally debug,pre-investigate,and revise the original English scales, and finally form a Chinese version of cancer. The patient did not meet the demand brief scale.A total of 428 cancer patients from two levels of three grade A hospitals from October 2016 to October 2017 were selected as research objects, and questionnaires were sent to them. The survey results were used to evaluate the psychometric indicators of the Chinese version of the scale. The validity and validity of the scale were evaluated using content validity, construct validity, aggregation validity, predictive validity, index validity,Cronbach's?coefficient, and test-retest reliability.Among them, structural validity analysis methods include exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis.2.Questionnaire survey was used to issue a general condition questionnaire,a Chinese version of SF-SUNS 214 cancer patients at a certain two tertiary hospitals that were conveniently collected.Survey to understand the status of unmet need of cancer patients, analyze their influencing factors, and explore potential types in cancer patient populations through latent variable analysis.Results1.The Chinese version of the SF-SUNS scale contains 30 items, and a total of 4common factors are extracted through exploratory factor analysis,explaining50.681%of the total variation. Each item has a higher factor load in its corresponding dimension(>0.4).The confirmatory factor analysis results proved that the four-factor model has a good fit:(1)?~2=530.006,GFI=0.926,AGFI=0.914,RMR=0.027,SRLR=0.041,RMSEA=0.028;(2)IFI=0.954,TLI=0.949,CFI=0.953;(3)PGFI=0.795,PNFI=0.768,Chi-squared Freedom Ratio?~2/df=1.328<2,HOELTER(CN)=360>200.The content validity index(I-CVI)of the Chinese SF-SUNS ranged from 0.89 to 1.0,and the S-CVI of the total score was 0.91.The Chinese version of SF-SUNS was positively correlated with SCNS(r=0.648,P<0.01),accounting for 50.6%of the differences in SCNS scores. The correlation coefficients for various dimensions were 0.285~0.479,and all dimensions were predictable at the3-month follow-up.The PHQ-9 scores(normalized?for each dimension were:?=0.403,P<0.001;?=0.144,P<0.01;?=0.161,P<0.01;?=0.131,P<0.01).The total Cronbach's?coefficient of the scale was 0.894,the Cronbach's?coefficient of each dimension was 0.703~0.812,and the test-retest reliability(ICC)was 0.916.2.Use the Chinese SF-SUNS scale to measure the unmet need level of cancer patients. The total score of the scale is(74.75±12.62)points;the degree of education of cancer patients, the type of cancer, and gender and other factors are the influncing factors of unmet needs. The regression equation can explain 37.8%of the total variation;the regression analysis shows that out of the three dummy variables of the cancer type, disease history and gender.3.A potential category analysis of the unmet need characteristics of cancer patients in the survey. The outcome indicators indicate that there are three categories(subgroups)of cancer patients based on this trait. They are defined as:“highly unmet need groups”(21.6%,n=46),“mixed transition group”(63.4%,n=136),“successful group with cancer”(15.0%,n=32).Conclusion1.This study translated and revised the Short-Form Survivor Unmet Needs Survey(SF-SUNS)to revise a Chinese version of SF-SUNS with good reliability and suitability for Chinese patients.Psychometric evaluation indicators showed good and all data of indicators met the requirements of international scales. The Chinese version of SF-SUNS is applicable in the context of Chinese culture and is a standardized and effective tool for evaluating unmet needs of cancer patients in China.2.The unmet needs level of cancer patients is high, and affected by multiple factors such as individuals information, the environment or clinical features. The degree of education, the type of cancer, and gender and other factors are important factors that affecting unmet needs. It is recommended that medical staff should provide effective support and psychological intervention for different cancer patients to meet their information, psychological, nursing, social support and other needs, promote their cancer rehabilitation, and improve their quality of life during their lives with cancer. In addition, cancer patients can be categorized and divided into three subgroups based on their unmet needs. The identification of patients with different characteristics can be used to guide patient-centered supportive care and develop appropriate targeted care measures. It also helps to improve the quality of palliative care.
