Background and ObjectiveGastric cancer is one of the malignant tumors that threaten national health. At present, there are about 680,000 new cases of gastric cancer in our country each year, and most patients are already in advanced stage when they are found.Surgical treatment-based comprehensive treatment is the main idea of gastric cancer treatment. For advanced gastric cancer,D2 range radical surgery is a commonly accepted treatment at Domestic and foreign.Postoperative pathological staging is particularly important for patient's outcomes and guidelines.Lymph node metastasis is one of the major metastatic modes of gastric cancer.Lymph node staging is particularly important for predicting prognosis and treatment guiding. The commonly used lymph node staging method is the TNM staging of the 8th edition of the AJCC/UICC.However,this method has been proved to have certain limitations in clinical studies. Therefore, some scholars have come up with the staging of lymph node metastasis and the logarithmic phase of positive lymph nodes. To compare the ability in predicting the prognosis of gastric cancer among the N(8th AJCC/UICC)?the r N and the LODDS.MethodsTotal 117 gastric cancer patients who received radical operation in Gastrointestinal Surgery of HFYY.Analysis their pathological data and follow-up data with ROC curves.Compare the ability in predicting the prognosis of gastric cancer. Results Among the 117 patients,84 were males and 33 were females. The average visit age was 61.6(24-86 years);the average number of lymph nodes detected was 15.9(2 to 38);the average number of metastatic lymph nodes was 3.0(0 to 17).;Follow-up deadline January 1,2017,the average follow-up time of 38.6 months(3 to 60 months;more than 60 months were recorded as 60 months),the five-year survival rate of 17.09%.In addition to gender, tumor size and tumor type(p>0.05),differences in age,T stage,N stage,r N stage, and LODDS stage were all factors influencing 5-year survival rate, with statistical significance(p<0.05).All the three staging systems have ability in predicting the prognosis of gastric cancer in the overall sample. While the LODDS is better than the N and the r N.Only the LODDS had prognostic value in the sample without lymph node metastasis. And the ability will rise when the date is seen as continuity variables. Conclusion The ability of LODDS is better than the N and the r N.Only the LODDS had prognostic value in the sample without lymph node metastasis. And the ability will rise when the date is seen as continuity variables.
