A Clinical Study Of Wuwei Xiaodu Yin Combined With Isotretinoin In Treating Male Moderate To Severe Acne Vulgaris(The Syndrome Of Heat Toxin And Blood Stasis)

Objective:This study is to investigate the clinical effect of the treatment of male moderate to severe acne vulgaris(the syndrome of heat toxin and blood stasis)by the combination of Wuwei Xiaodu Yin and isotretinoin,and to explore whether the combined treatment of Wuwei Xiaodu Yin and isotretinoin could play a quicker and better curative effect for male moderate to severe acne vulgaris(the syndrome of heat toxin and blood stasis).Methods:42 patients who met the requirements of the subject were randomly assigned to experimental group and control group.The experimental group was taken with Wuwei Xiaodu Yin and isotretinoin,the control group was taken with Pudilan Xiaoyan Pian and isotretinoin,then the patients were treated twice in 8 weeks.Judging the curative effect by calculating the curative effect index,which depends on the scores of skin lesions before and after the treatment.The changes of TCM symptoms before and after the treatment were observed too.Finally,21 cases in experimental group and 20 cases in control group(1 case had elevated liver enzymes and withdrew from the subject)completed the treatment plan,and the data were processed with SPSS25.0 statistical analysis software.Results:(1)The obvious curative rate in experimental group is 95.24%,and which is 70%in control group,P<0.05.The curative effect of the experimental group is significantly better than the control group;(2)The improvement of skin lesions in experimental group is significantly better than the control group at the 4th and 8th weeks.Moreover,the experimental group has obvious curative effect in first 4 weeks,the control group begins to have obvious curative effect in later 4 weeks;(3)The TCM symptoms are improved in two groups,but the improvement of the experimental group is more significant than the control group;(4)1 case in control group withdrew from the subject because of the liver enzymes.4 cases in experimental group experienced gastric discomfort after taking traditional Chinese medicine,and each group both had different degrees of skin mucous membrane dryness,but the patients were able to tolerate.No serious adverse reactions occurred in each group.Conclusion:For the male patients with moderate to severe acne vulgaris(the syndrome of heat toxin and blood stasis),Wuwei Xiaodu Yin combined with isotretinoin is a treatment plan with low cost,rapid onset of action,significant curative effect,and no serious adverse reactions.It is worth promoting.
