Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Liver And Kidney Deficiency Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective:To investigate clinical effect of Sanbi decoction against rheumatic arthritis(hepatic and renal insufficiency)by observing the changes of TCM syndromes integral and immune indices before and after treatment.Methods:We recruit 40 patients with rheumatoid arthritis(hepatic and renal insufficiency)meeting inclusion criteria.Using Sanbi decoction to treat patients for 4 weeks,collected changes data of TCM syndromes integral(joint pain,joint swelling,joint tenderness,fever,morning stiffness,inconvenient flexion and joints),response rate,rheumatoid factor level,C reactive protein level and DAS28 score before and after treatment.At the same time rehospitalization rate has also been collected(1 month,3 months after treatment).Comparing before and after treatment data we could investigate clinical effectiveness of Sanbi decoction against rheumatic arthritis(hepatic and renal insufficiency).Result:1.Compared with pretreatment,the TCM syndromes score wasreduced after 4 weeks treatment,which was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Compared with pretreatment,the rheumatoid factor level,C-reactive protein level,DAS28 score were down-regulated after 4 weeks treatment,which was also statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Compared with pretreatment,the total effective rate of TCM syndromes in patients after 4 weeks was 97.50%,indicating that the treatment was effective for 4 weeks.4.The rehospitalization rate of 1 month after treatment was 3 patients(7.69%).The rehospitalization rate of 3 months after treatment was 2 patients(5.13%).Conclusion:1.Sanbi decoction against liver and kidney deficiency type of rheumatoid arthritis is effective.It could improve the TCM syndrome integral,C-reactive protein level,rheumatoid factor levels,DAS28 score level of patients and relieve symptoms.2.Sanbi decoction can reduce the disease activity and cut down the rate of rehospitalization after 1 and 3 month post-treatment.
