Objective:(1)To acquaintance symptom cluster status,the level of fear of progression and quality of life of patients with cervical cancer in a hospital in Changsha;(2)By analyzing the general data,the influence of symptom cluster and fear of progression on the quality of life of patients with cervical cancer in a hospital in Changsha,what will provide a theoretical basis for medical staff to provide effective symptom management and improve the quality of life of patients.Methods:(1)A simple random sampling method was used to investigate the cervical cancer patients in a hospital in Changsha.The questionnairethes involved includ general information questionnaire,Anderson Symptom Assessment Scale(MDASI-C),Fear of Progression Scale-Short Form(FoP-Q-SF)and the quality of life of cervical cancer scale(FACT-Cx);(2)The descriptive analysis was used to analyze the patient's general data,symptoms,fear of progression and quality of life;Principal component analysis was used to analyze the data of Anderson Symptom Scale;Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the internal correlation among symptoms,the correlation among symptom group,fear of progression and quality of life;The Multiple Linear Regression Analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of quality of life in patients with cervical cancer.Results:(1)The average score of the symptoms of 203 patients with cervical cancer was(51.81 ±14.04),and the top five were sleep restlessness,poor appetite,distress,pain and drowsiness.Symptoms had the greatest effect on work(including housework),with a score of(3.99±1.68);(2)In this study,we got four symptom clusters.They were sadness and treatment side effects cluster,affliction and somatization symptom cluster,gastrointestinal symptom cluster and body function related symptom cluster.The highest score of affliction and somatization symptom cluster was(19.11 + 5.70);(3)The average score for fear of progression was(26.81 ±5.13),with the top three being worried about what the family would do if something happened to them,fear that drugs will damage their body and that there will be some major treatments in the process of disease;(4)The average score of quality of life was(113.96 ±11.81).The scores of marital status,family relationship,monthly family income and clinical stage were significantly different in quality of life(P? 0.05).There was a significant negative correlation between the score of each symptom cluster and the total score of quality of life(P<0.05).The score of physiological health factors and the total score of fear of progression were negatively correlated with the total scores of quality of life(P?0.05);(5)The Multiple Linear Regression Analysis showed that family relationship,family monthly income,sadness and treatment side effect cluster,affliction and somatization symptom cluster,and physiological health factors in the fear of progression was the influencing factors of quality of life of cervical cancer patients in a hospital in Changsha.Conclusions:(1)The cervical cancer patients in a hospital in Changsha have four symptom clusters,what were sadness and treatment side effects cluster,affliction and somatization symptom cluster,gastrointestinal symptom cluster and body function related symptom cluster;(2)There is a certain degree of fear about the progression of the disease in patients with cervical cancer in a hospital in Changsha;(3)Family relationship,family monthly income,sadness and treatment side effects cluster,affliction and somatization symptom cluster and physiological health factors in the fear of progression are the main factors affecting the quality of life of patients with cervical cancer in a hospital in Changsha.
