OBJECTIVE: To study the value of high frequency ultrasound(HFUS)with Micro Pure for gouty arthritis(GA).METHODS: Forty-seven cases with gouty arthritis who were selected as GA group.Twenty cases with non-gouty joint diseases were used as control group. The dual energy CT(DECT)and HFUS were performed in all patients.RESULTS: 1.There was significant difference(P<0.05)for the“double contour sign”,synovial hypertrophy, synovitis and popliteal cyst.2.There was not significant difference(P>0.05)for the bony erosionand including effusion.3.In GA group, the number of the“double contour sign” was significantly greater than that in the non-GA group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.The number of microcalcifications detected by MicroPure was higher than that of DECT.5.There was no significant difference in the area of the two ROC curves(P>0.05).CONCLUSION: HFUS with MicroPure had an important value for the diagnosis of GA.
