OBJECTIVE:To explore the relationship between the expression of zinc-alpha2-glycoprotein and nutritional status of patients with maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)and continuous-ambulatory peritoneal dialysis(CAPD).METHODS:In this study,66 cases received dialysis treatment in our hospital as the dialysis group, divided into groups as below:CAPD group and MHD group, malnutrition group and goodnutrition group, not enoughintake dialysis group and adequant dialysis group, while 50 cases in 210 Hospital physical examination of healthy volunteers as normal control group. All the cases were taken peripheral venous blood on an empty stomach to test serum concentration of zinc-alpha 2-glycoprotein(ZAG),albumin(ALB)、total cholesterol(TC)、triglycerides(TG)、apolipoprotein A1(APOA1)、apolipoprotein B(APOB)、apolipoprotein A1/B(APOA1/B)、lipoproteins(LP)、high density lipoprotein(HDL-C)、low density lipoprotein(LDL-C)、blood urea nitrogen(BUN)and serum creatinine(SCR).Then calculate BMI,eGFR.Take average Kt/v of hemodialysis patients for nearly 6 months.RESULTS:The concentration of ZAG in dialysis patients was much higher than that in nromal persons(147.23±45.2ng/ml vs 47.36 ± 12.96ng/ml),the difference between above 2 groups was significant(p<0.01);the concentration of ZAG in peritoneal dialysis patients was higher than that in hemodialysis patients(161.35 ±9.96ng/ml vs 133.93 ± 4.23ng/ml),the difference between above 2 groups was significant(p<0.05);the concentration of ZAG in malnutrition group was higher than that in good nutrition group(181.16 ± 66.36ng/ml vs 137.25 ± 31.26ng/mL),the difference between above 2 groups was significant(p<0.05);the serum concentration of ZAG in not enoughintake dialysis group was 139.19 ±19.14ng/ml,while the concentration of ZAG in adequant dialysis group was 129.78 ± 22.82ng/ml,the concentration was not significantly different between the 2 groups(P>0.05).The level of ZAG in dialysis group was positively correlated with TG(P<0.01),while negatively with ALB,HDL-C,APOA1,BMI and eGFR(P<0.05).The level of ZAG was Independently correlated with the level of TG in serum(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Compared with MHD patients, the serum ZAG concentration in CAPD patients was increased. The level of ZAG dialysis patients in malnutritional state was higher than that in good-nutritional state. The level of ZAG could be an biomarker of malnutrition in dialysis patients.
