Treatment Protocols Of Pyogenic Ventriculitis By Neuroendoscopic Surgery

Objectives:This research is based on the Neuroendoscopic surgery to search the method and the effect for treating Suppurative intraventricular infection.Methods:During the year of August,2010 to the year of December,2017,we used the NES to treat the 48 Suppurative intraventricular infection patients.And we executed Ventricular lavage and Ventricular drainage according to patients' individual differences.Moreover,when the intraventricular plaque or floc could not be rinsed and emptied by Endoscopy totally,we used modified Ventricular Drainage to treat.The postoperative treatment plan is determined by the patient's clinical manifestation,cerebrospinal fluid traits,and mEVD blockage tests.Results:The 48 Suppurative intraventricular infection patients(The average score of MRS during hospitalization is 4.31)distributed into 11 hospitals and accepted NES treatment.10 patients received once NES combined surgery,10 patients accepted twice,15 patients accepted 3 times,9 patients accepted 4 times and 4 patients accepted 5 times.All the patients once received MEVD,the average length of stay in hospital is 45.5 days.When it was time to discharge,23 patients were cured and extubation,15 patients were cured but depended on VP,9 patients depended on MEVD,4 patients died(the average score of Rankin during discharge was 3.33).6 patients with MEVD were found to be dead during postoperative follow-up.There are no changeable relevance results to the rest patients.(The average score Rankin of follow-up is 3.44)Conclusion:The treatment protocols of pyogenic ventriculitis by neuroendoscopic surgery are effective and should be applied more widely.
