Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy ofthoracoscopic thymoma expansion and thoracotomyoma enlargement resection in the treatment of thymoma with myasthenia gravis(MG).Method: Clinical data and their therapeutic effect of 120 cases of thymoma with MG who underwent thoracoscopic surgery and thoracotomy surgery(thymoma enlargement resection with median sternotomy)in the Department of Thoracic Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2010 to December2015 were analyzed retrospectively.Result: There were no significant differences in gender, age, operation time, postoperative complications, postoperative WHO pathological type,Masaoka stage,MGFA grade and overall remission rate of long-term follow-up between the two groups(P > 0.05);while the amount of intraoperative bleeding, postoperative extubation time, postoperative hospital stay, postoperative pain days were significantly better in thoracoscopic group than those in the thoracotomy group, the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Although the overall remission rate of long-term follow-up between the two surgery methods of thymoma resection in the treatment of MG had no significant difference, the thoracoscopic surgery had obvious advantages in the minimal invasive, which could significantly reduce the postoperative pain for patients, and they could have early activities out of bed.It is conducive to the rapid recovery of patients during the perioperative period, which is worthy of popularizing.
