Objective: To investigate the relationship between the expression of plasma Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 level in patients with large-artery atherosclerosis stroke and its relation to the severity of the disease. Methods: A total of 100 patients with LAA presented to the Department of Neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University were collected from January 2017 to June 2017 as case group, which contains 61 males and 39 females, aged 40-80 years old, average age 63.13±9.51.Meanwhile,the case group based on the NIHSS scores was further divided into three groups: light stroke(<4 points),medium stroke(4-15 points)and severe stroke(>15 points)at hospital, including 38 were light stroke,53 were medium stroke and 9 were heavy stroke.Combined with cranial MRI,the cerebral infarction area was calculated according to the formula of Pulli ICSno,and LAA group was divided into large area(>10cm3),middle area(4-10cm3),and small area(<4cm3),including 13 were large-area infarcts,50 were middle-area infarctions, and 37 were small-area infarctions. And 67 healthy people who did participated in the Physical Examination Center in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University were selected as the control group, which contains 33 males and 34 females, aged 40-80 years old, average age 63.01 ± 8.47.All patients and healthy people were asked for detailed medical history and physical examination,Lp-PLA2 was detected by double antibody sandwich immunochromatography, and meanwhile take TC,LDL-C,HDL-C,TG,hs-CRP and HCY.Finally, all data were used SPSS17.0 software for statistical analysis.Result: 1.The average age and sex composition of LAA group and control group were not statistically significant after ?2 test or t test(P> 0.05),age(t=0.09,P=0.928)and gender(?2=2.25,P=0.134).The ratio of smoking, alcohol consumption, hypertension and diabetes in LAA group were higher than control group, and there was not statistically significant after ?2 tests(P>0.05),smoking(?2=0.168,P=0.682),lcohol consumption(?2=0.985,P=0.321),hypertension(?2=0.169,P=0.685)and diabetes(?2=0.362 a,P=0.547).2.The levels of TG,TC,LDL-C,Hs-CRP and HCY in the LAA group were higher than those in the control group, except HDL-C.And there were not significant relationships after t test(P>0.05),TG(t=-1.016,P=0.331),TC(t=0.964,P=0.337),HCY(t=1.819,P=0.071),HDL-C(t=-1.209,P=0.228).The meaning was statistical after t test(P<0.05),LDL-C(t=6.954,P=0.00),Hs-CRP(t=3.361,P=0.001).3.The level of Lp-PLA2 in LAA group was higher than that in control group(t=6.339,P=0.00),the difference in two groups was statistically significant after t test(P<0.05).4.In LAA group, the Lp-PLA2 levels increased, the severity increased, indicating that Lp-PLA2 levels and severity of the disease was positively correlated(F=237.56,P=0.00),the difference in two groups was statistically significant after F test(P<0.05).5.In LAA group, the Lp-PLA2 levels increased, the Volume of cerebral infarction increased, indicating that Lp-PLA2 levels and Volume of cerebral infarction was positively correlated(F=8.018,P=0.00),the difference in two groups was statistically significant after F test(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.Lp-PLA2 levels were significantly elevated in patients with LAA.2.Lp-PLA2 is a new type of inflammatory factor of LAA.So early detection of Lp-PLA2 can predict the risk of LAA,which has clinical value for the prevention of the disease.3.The level of Lp-PLA2 levels is related to the severity of LAA patients, which has certain guiding significance for assessing the condition and treating diseases.
