| Objectives To understand the status of loneliness among the middle and hightest aged empty nester, explore the main factors that influence their loneliness, analyze the impactive path of each factors to provide a theoretical basis and taking counter measures for reducing the degree of loneliness in middle and hightest aged empty nester. Methods We recruited 2529 residents aged ≥75 years from communities covered by 10 community health care centers in Tangshan city of Hebei province with stratified cluster random sampling, then we conducted a face-to-face household survey among the residents with the University of California at Los Angeles-Loneliness Scale,Daily Life Ability Scale,Social Support Rating Scale,Perceived Social Support from Family Scale and other factors(including age, sex, marital status, education level, economicconditions etc)from July 2016 to January 2017.We established an excel database by Excel data application softwareand did statistical analysis by SPSS17.0 statistical software.Measurement data with((?) ±s),count data with frequency and percentage(%)said.Analyze the measurement data with t test, variance analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The structural equationmodels accepting the significant factors in multiple linear regression analysis werebuilt, fitted, evaluated and corrected by AMOS21.0.Results 1 The status of loneliness of middle and hightest aged empty nester 2529 middle and hightest aged empty nester cases of loneliness score distribution in 20~74 points, the average(39.94±10.402),low degree of loneliness in 825(23%),1181(48.8%)moderate loneliness,a higher degree of loneliness523(28.2%).2 Univariate analysis of loneliness of middle and hightest aged empty nester gender, age, marital status, education level, personality, nature of work, income, quality of sleep, whether have easy to wake up at night or wake up early, the use of hypnotic drugs, pain and discomfort, chronic illness condition, take the drug situation, aconuresis, encopresis and constipation, nearly a year without falling, the ability of daily life, children visit frequency, communicate with their children, children encounter problems can provide timely help, children can listen to the views of parents, family’s status, frequency with friends and neighbours, the frequency of participate in community activities, related policy satisfaction of the elderly, views on the level of social fairness, family support and social support were related to the loneliness of the middle-aged empty nest elderly, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3 Multivariate analysis of loneliness of middle and hightest aged empty nester Education level, marital status, quality of sleep, the use of hypnotic drugs, fecal incontinence daily life ability, communicate with their children, children can listen to the views of parents, family’s status, frequency with friends and neighbours, the frequency of participate in community activities, related policy satisfaction of the elderly, views on the level of social fairness and social support were related to the loneliness of the middle-aged empty nest elderly, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4 Structural equation modeling show that family support, social support and daily living ability impact on middle and hightest aged empty nester cases of loneliness through direct and indirect path.Family support and social support were not only mediating variables, but also that has a direct effect on elderly loneliness loneliness. Conclusions 1 Middle and hightest aged empty nester cases of loneliness at middle level state, and the loneliness scores of the male is better than the female’s.2 Elderly loneliness in education level, marital status, quality of sleep, the use of hypnotic drugs, fecal incontinence daily life ability, communicate with their children, children can listen to the views of parents, family’s status, frequency with friends and neighbours, the frequency of participate in community activities, related policy satisfaction of the elderly, views on the level of social fairness and social support have significant differences.3 Family support, social support and the ability of daily living factors affect middle-aged empty nest elderly middle and hightest aged empty nester’s loneliness through direct or indirect path. |
