Objective: To assess the changes of cardiac structure and right ventricular systolic function in patients with functional tricuspid regurgitation;To investigate the possible risk factors of functional tricuspid regurgitation.Method: From March 2016 to November 2017,this study included A 79 patients with functional tricuspid regurgitation in Department of Cardiology of the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University.Records of patients with general clinical data and biochemical indicators.The echocardiographic and real-time three-dimensional echocardiographic techniques were used to obtain the cardiac structural parameters(including left atrium diameter,right atrium diameter,left ventricular end-diastolic diameter,right ventricular base diameter,right ventricular mid-Diameter and tricuspid annulus diameter)and right ventricular systolic function parameters(including right ventricular ejection fraction,tricuspid annulus systolic displacement and right ventricular area fraction).Results: 79 patients were enrolled in this study.There were 31 males(39.24%),with average age of 58.65 ± 8.88 years.There were 27 patients(34.17%)with atrial fibrillation.There were Twenty-seven patients(34.17%)with no or micro functional tricuspid regurgitation,27(34.17%)patients had mild functional tricuspid regurgitation and 25(31.64%)had moderate or severe regurgitation.By one-way analysis of variance and chisquare test,atrial fibrillation was found to be associated with functional tricuspid regurgitation.Left chamber diameter,right atrium diameter,right ventricle middle diameter,right ventricle base diameter,right ventricle long diameter,tricuspid valve annulus diameter were found to be associated with functional tricuspid regurgitation.Right ventricular systolic function parameters(right ventricular ejection fraction,Tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion)found to be associated with functional tricuspid regurgitation significantly.Right and left atrium expansion,tricuspid annulus expansion and decreased right ventricular ejection fraction had occurred in the early functional tricuspid regurgitation by T-test.Finally,multiple logistic regression analysis showed that atrial fibrillation,left atrium diameter,right atrium diameter,right ventricle based diameter,the diameter of the tricuspid annulus,the ejection fraction of the right ventricle and tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion were correlated with the degree of functional tricuspid regurgitation.Conclusion: 1.Functional tricuspid regurgitation were related to the atrial fibrillation and pulmonary;the greater the degree of tricuspid regurgitation,the higher the proportion of patients with atrial fibrillation and pulmonary hypertension.2.In the early functional tricuspid regurgitation,there have been pulmonary hypertension,double room expansion,tricuspid annulus expansion and right ventricular ejection fraction decreased.3.There were a certain positive correlation between functional tricuspid regurgitation and left atrium diameter,right atrium diameter,right ventricular midline diameter,basal end diameter,tricuspid annulus diameter;There was a significant negative correlation between functional tricuspid regurgitation and right ventricle ejection fraction,tricuspid annulus systolic displacement and tricuspid regurgitation.
