Objective: To understand the status and influencing factors of mental health and quality of life of dentists,and analyze the relationship between the K10 and SF-36 scales in order to provide the basis for promoting the health of dentists and improving their quality of life.Objects and Methods: The study take the method of cluster sampling,then we extract 300 doctors from various specialties dental hospitals in different areas of Shenyang.A total of 285 valid questionnaires were returned.The effective rate of the questionnaires was 95%.Then conduct a survey of the dentist's Demographic data,mental health status and the quality of life as the the questionnaire contents.After that,we analyze the quality of life and its influencing factors for dentists.Results:1.The dentists' s mental health score is 19.41±6.15,and the score of the quality of life is 79.24±18.39.2.Differences in mental health scores among dentists with different family burdens,thoughts about leaving a company,relationships between colleagues,physical exercise,chronic diseases,and mood changes have statistically significant(P<0.05).The lower the K10 score is,the better the mental health of the family is with low family burden,harmonious colleagues,high frequency of physical exercise,and no chronic diseases.Multi-factor analysis found that the main influencing factors of mental health status of dentists were the thoughts of leaving the unit,mood changes,chronic diseases,monthly income,educational background,relationship between colleagues,and current marital status.3.The demographic features of dentists were statistically different in 8 dimensions in the SF-36 scale: Different sex dentists from different genders scored in PE and SF dimensions,the dentists with different marital status scored in the PE dimension and PCS scores,the dentists with different education scored in BP and SF dimensions,and the burden on the family was different from that of dentists in BP and GH.,VT,RE,MH dimensions and PCS,MCS Scores,diagnosing monthly income different dentists in RP,VT,RE,MH dimensions and MCS scores,with or without dentists leaving units thinking in RP,BP,GH,VT,SF,RE,MH dimensions and PCS,MCS scores,dentists with different relations with colleagues in VT,SF,RE,MH dimensions and PCS,MCS scores,different physical training frequency of dentists in BP,GH,VT Dimensions and PCS,MCS scores,whether the dentists smoked in the PE dimension,and whether the dentists with chronic diseases had different PE,RP,BP,GH,VT,SF,RE,MH dimensions and PCS,MCS scores,and mood changes the difference of RP,BP,GH,VT,SF,RE,MH dimensions and PCS,MCS scores between dentists was statistically significant(?=0.05).There was no statistical difference in the scores of the quality of life for each dimension of other population characteristics.Female PE and SF scores were higher than males.Doctors with good colleagues had higher scores in VT,SF,RE,MH dimensions and PCS and MCS than colleagues.Non-smoker dentists were in the PE dimension.The scores of PE,RP,BP,GH,VT,SF,RE,MH dimensions and PCS,MCS scored higher than those with chronic disease on scores higher than those of smoking without chronic diseases4.Multivariate analysis showed that the main influencing factors of physical health of dentists were K10 score,chronic disease,monthly income and current marital status;The main influencing factors of psychological health of dentists were K10 score,emotional change,monthly income,department and chronic disease;The factors affecting the total quality of life of dentists are K10 scores,mood changes,and monthly income.5.The difference of mental health status of oral dentists was statistically significant in relation to physiological health PCS and mental health MCS(?=0.05).The eight dimensions of SF-36 scale,physiological health PCS,mental health MCS,and SF score all showed negative correlation with K10 total score.Conclusions: 1.The K10 and SF-36 scales used in this study have a good effect on measuring the mental health status and quality of life of dentists.2.According to the survey data,it is found that the mental health status of the dentist is low,and the main influencing factors of the mental health of the dentist are the thoughts of leaving the unit,mood changes,chronic diseases,monthly income,education background,relationship between colleagues,and current marital status.Therefore,dentists and their related departments should take active and effective measures to improve the oral health of the dentist.3.The quality of life of dentists is good,and the main influencing factors of qualityof life for oral dentists are K10 scores,mood changes,monthly income,and chronic diseases..Dentists and related departments can take targeted measures to improve the quality of life of dentists.4.The K10 and SF-36 scales can be used to measure the mental health status of the population.When the population is surveyed for mental health status,the two can be combined to produce a synergistic effect.
