Analysis Of Factors Affecting Abnormal Heart Structure And Function In Patients With Acromegaly

Objective: To explore the influencing factors of cardiac structure and function changes in patients with acromegaly.Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 34 cases of acromegaly diagnosed in our hospital.Explore the patient’s disease course,growth hormone cumulative effects,insulin-like growth factor-1 cumulative effects,tumor size,tumor invasiveness and other factors on the structure and function of the heart.Result: In 34 patients,there were no abnormalities in heart structure and function in 9 cases(26.5%),23 cases(67.6%)in cardiac cavity,11 cases(32.4%)in diastolic function,and 1 case(2.9%)in systolic function.According to echocardiography,the left ventricle diameter(LVD),left atrium diameter(LAD),right ventricle diameter(RVD),right atrium diameter(RAD),interventricular septum thickness(IVS),left ventricular posterior wall(LVPW)and diastolic function(E/A)were divided into normal group and abnormal group.The disease course of abnormal group was higher than that of normal group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P = 0.04).In the correlation analysis,there was a correlation between disease course and LVD(P =0.011),LAD(P =0.024),there was a correlation between growth hormone cumulative effect and LVD(P =0.038),insulin-like growth factor-1 There was a correlation between cumulative effects and LVD(P=0.045).Among other factors,the proportion of hypertension,abnormal glucose metabolism,lipid metabolism,and invasive tumors in the abnormal group was greater than that in the normal group,but there was no significant difference between the two groups.Conclusion: The course of disease,cumulative effects of growth hormone,and cumulative effects of insulin-like growth factor-1 are factorsthat affect cardiac structure in patients with acromegaly.
