| PurposeTo investigate the incidence of postoperative complications after intracranial aneurysm occlusion by CTA.It makes the clinical workers more aware of the common and serious complications,so as to control or prevent the common and serious complications early and improve the prognosis of the patients.MethodsFollow-up data from 251 consecutive patients after intracranial aneurysms clipping were retrospectively analyzed. The complications mainly included hemorrhage, hydrocephalus, encephalomalacia, parent artery stenosis, vasospasm, aneurysm remnant, clip off and aneurysm regeneration and recurrence. And the distribution characteristics of vasospasm were analyzed.ResultsThe incidence of vasospasm was the highest(106/251,42.23%)in all the complications after intracranial aneurysms clipping, followed by hydrocephalus(38/251,15.14%).There were 51 of 251 cases(51/251,20.32%)suffered two or more types complications simultaneously.Totally,234 vasospasms spasmodic vessels in 251 cases. Most of vasospasm occurred in the anterior cerebral artery(127/234,54.27%),(P<0.001).There was no statistical difference of postoperative vasospasm between patents underwent anterior communicating aneurysms clipping with left of right pterional approach route(P=0.151).ConclusionCTA can be used for follow-up and evaluation of serious complications after clipping of intracranial aneurysms. The incidence of vasospasm after aneurysm clipping is the highest in all complications.Vasospasm was significantly more frequent in anterior cerebral artery. The incidences of vasospasm are similar in anterior communicating artery aneurysms patients with left and right pterional approach route clipping. |
